I will start by saying that this is not a complaint about any person. I don't really dislike anyone on Subeta!

So. There is a lot of high stakes stuff happening in the r200 forum, and it has really become a place that just doesn't function well for casual buyers and sellers of CWs. Sometimes I wish there were 'high-stakes' and 'casual' subforums in that area. Those names are obviously terrible and they should not be named that, but I think you understand what I mean. Hopefully?

The end.

... ooooooooooor maybe no one cares XD

Maybe an auction subforum instead? And a new ping topic, something like # auctioncw instead of buysellcw

I agree. It's annoying to navigate through all those private CW auctions, when a) know that you can't afford them anyway, and b) are just looking for a few simple unlimited batch items. It's also close to impossibillity to sell non elusive items for an very undercutting price. Though, I know, thats more a market thing, than a Board related thing xD

I think it might be a combination of both. 'Casual' CW users (I know that term sucks but I can't think of a better one sorry) don't seem to frequent the r200 forums for the reasons you mentioned, that being the high-price auctions and the fact that most of the active participants are only seeking very rare items. So part of it may be a matter of the audience for those items isn't really tuned-in to what's being sold beyond the circumstances you mentioned. Yes, some CWs are more popular than others, and that's certainly a factor when reselling. But I think there are users that are willing to buy non-exclusive CWs just because they like them, but aren't really frequenting the r200 forums for the reasons already stated.

I think you really nailed it. I mostly sell CWs without advertising them at all, having them just in trades -shrugs- But I am really more of a Casual CW User. But either way, it would be great to see changes to the r200 Forums; everyone using and buying CWs would benefit from it imho.

I like this idea. As someone who doesn't like to spend more than around slot prices on CW, I like to look through the forum to find like CWs I want a prices that aren't "exorbitant". I feel like I'm swimming in a strong current looking through the current r200 board, with all these auctions and what not~

But I can see cons to this, as it means a lot of people who have both auctions on expensive CWs also sell their not-so-expensive ones as well, and it means more boards, more pings, more crazy. xD

yeah that's why I wanted to talk about it. There are a lot of problems with the idea too LOL.

Hmm... perhaps an auction subforum?

I know you said not to move this but this thread really doesn't belong here ^_^ There's no reason there can't be a conversation over in suggestions.

Honestly, what we actually need is a way to find the CWs we're looking for, and the r200 board is absolutely terrible at it.

I thought about starting a offsite ressource, like a CW Craigs List, but I noticed I wouldn't have the time to maintain it. Looking at 20+ boards TWICE a DAY to hope to see the ONE CW I'm after is a chore. It's not fun. It's a literal chore.

The r200 forum is not working. We need a way to revamp it, or to look at ways to make buying CWs easier.

Everything Tche said.

What about a special place for CW auctions only? Then the rest of the "normal every day cw's" can go in the R200 forum. Also, a search function that actually works.

I like the idea of a sub-sub category for CW auctions. That would help a little, although I agree with everyone else that the forum itself is pretty non-functional as it is.

What about making a rule where your topic has to have the item you're selling in it if it's one item? Something like that idk

You know what would be great? And this is a total pipedream but I would love it. If there was a way to set up a shop (like an individual shop, just like our regular shops) where you could sell CWs for CSC. Maybe there could be a certain charge to 'buy' the shop, much like you have to pay a fee to create extra shops now, beyond the 3 or however many you can have for free. Like a CSC fee, that gets paid to Subeta, and then you can sell your CWs, and the CSC will get added to your on-hand CSC (or a till, but that seems like it would be unnecessary, probably). That would be sooooo great, because then you could just shop-search what you're looking for.

I know Keith has said he doesn't want CSC to be traded or whatever as commonly as SP, but let's be honest that is already happening with the CW resale market. People very very rarely sell those items for SP, so it has become a common currency between users, traded back and forth just like SP.

There was just a suggestion a week or two ago about a Buying items for CSC and Keith basically said no. I really really hate the idea of either having to look through both a shop search and sift around both csc or sp offers or having to change between sp shops and csc shops every time I want to buy an expensive item. It's like neopets and how many refreshes until you find the lowest price.

I wouldn't mind a different organization of the cw reselling market but not like a shop.

I really wish that they would revamp auctions so that 1. you can offer csc 2. csc is used as starting bid, increments, etc. 3. automatic snipe guard if the seller wants It would fix any problems with shill bidding, and with sellers wimping out and deciding to pull their item from auction because the bid was too low. I don't really like auctions, tbqh.

Can i just ask, HOW IS THIS NOT AGAINST THE RULES? You can't do that on an art auction. Why is it allowed with CWs?

lol, I thought doing that was against the rules, but it was confirmed in a ticket that it is allowed. I don't think it's fair to do, but oh well.
