If I don't take the last 3 pills of my pill pack, will I get my period early?? I want to get it early so it'll end earlier..
Also any tips on how to make your period last less days? Sorry if this is kinda tmi ;; I just need to know.. this is important..
If you don't take the last three pills of the pack it'll make your birth control less effective :| Depending on what kind of birth control you're on though, you may be able to just start your next pack without taking the week of no hormone pills. You'd probably need to call your doctor about that though.
I'm not sure there is any way to make you period end earlier than it would normally. Some people's period will be longer and some will be shorter.
And I'm not quite sure what you're asking about your pill pack. There should be two types of pill in it: you birth control, then a week's worth of placebos which is for when you get your period. If you mean that you want to stop taking the last few of the birth control. I'm not sure if you will get you period immediately or not because you will be off of them 3 days early, and you period is usually spaced a month apart. I've never known anyone to stop taking their birth control early...

Sorry, should have been more specific. I did mean not taking the last 3 birth control pills, I never take the placebo pills anyway so I kinda forget about them
I'm not concerned about it becoming less effective.. it's kind of a confusing situation to explain ;; And I also don't want to just start the next pill back to skip the period because it will cause me to be pmsing the week I'm on vacation (makes my period come the week after the vacation and I pms sooo bad before my period)..
Oh. Well then, I dunno. It'll probably completely screw up your period so can't really say if it would come early or late or whatever :<
...according to the internet.
i wouldn't risk it, but my period doesn't come until the last 3 days of my placebo week, so it wouldn't be effective for me anyways.

Yeahhh ): My period is kinda weird anyway .. I once stopped taking my pills for a month and my period just came at a totally random time.
Well alright then. I don't know anyone who has actually stopped their birth control early in order to try to start their period. But when I googled it I did find this one person who stated.
So it seems like it would work... I'm still a bit skeptical about its effectiveness.

Ah, thanks for finding that. I guess I'll just try it... I don't really have anything to lose I guess.
Yeah, mine's really weird too when I'm not on BC or stop taking it. I think I've become a little more in tune with my body during the past year though, so thankfully when I went off of it for a few months I wasn't totally surprised when my period came. But still, it would be totally random and skip months and be dumb :P periods suckkk I don't understand why women haven't evolved to not have them haha. I hope you can work out your dilemma though.
I took my bc pills for like 2 years, the doctor told me that after a few months of taking it my period would be sorted about but stopping it for just a month it came at the most random time ever and lasted 2 weeks.. and I was like "...." and went back to taking it.. I'm fearful of stopping it and having to live in ph3ar of my period just deciding to come whenever ;;
I've heard that there is no medical problems with skipping the week of your placebos. I usually end up continuing to take my pills, right through the week, and I've never had a problem. Especially if I'm camping or something. Call your doctor though, just to be safe.
I don't know if this has been suggested yet but what I used to do when I was on the birth control pill is I wouldn't stop taking it early, but when I got my period I would start taking the new pack of birth control in the middle of my placebo period week. This shortened my period length. Mine was very very heavy and extremely painful and would last a full 8 days for me. Doing this helped and I didn't have any problems.
I don't know if this is doctor recommended though. Just make sure.
If I may suggest looking into the Mirena IUD to replace your birth control pills if you are on a decent prescription coverage? The mirena will shorten your periods gradually and eventually after much use your periods will most likely disappear altogether. Mine are down to three days now after 5ish months and I have no pain - just the usual mood swings. Mirena is just as effective if not more so than the pill. It is inserted inside you and you leave it there for a full five years without having to worry about daily pills, periods, missing days etc. It slowly releases the dosages you need by itself. Cost-wise it is pricey up-front but it is actually cheaper in the long-run than buying birth control packs for five years. It's like $300-400, but is usually covered if you have a drug plan.
Anyway give it a look-up. It's not for everyone but it's working for me and I feel so liberated from my crippling periods. It just sucked that I was pretty much incapable of doing a lot of things for 1/4+ of every month.
