I'm suggesting this as a way to help clear the DC outta of all the rubbish (aka Free Beer) that people are just stuffing in there.

I'm thinking it'd be something along the lines of the Fairy releasing, but this time it'd be Free Beer deletion.

You'd have achievement tiers for each set of amounts that you delete, 2000 being the top tier. Your prize? An Alegarten Site Theme :P

"Free Beer Display Only 7981 in stock" And I haven't really even been trying...

I don't think a 2k top tier in something like this would clear the DC out because it's so easy to get free beer but we do need something, definitely, and an achievement would be a good idea... but maybe a higher top tier.

Delete 100 000 of them could be an achievement.

Yeah - with so many being deleted, I think that the quick stock delete feature could be used XD I think my hand would fall off if I had to do 100k of them manually! LOL! :P

How about a "CHUG IT! CHUG IT!" achievement where your pet drinks x amount of the free beer? Or a Party On Achievement where all of your pets drink some?

I only bring that up because simply deleting them seems kind of boring to me. Feeding is boring too, but at least there's the evilly amusing mental picture of your pet getting drunk. =p

Or, make free beer part of a Genetech Lab combination somehow. Beer-marinated chicken? Super-soaker-style beer gun? Beer-colored hair? Cheap armor made out of the red plastic cups? I dunno.

But whatever winds up being done, I think the place where you get the free beer needs to be closed, at least for a while. I honestly thought it was going to be closed by now, and opened again during Alegarten.

I doubt it'll be closed permanently. You can use that beer to play the drunken version of the Burerro game. A mega limit of, maybe, 2 every other day may be good, though...

I don't really foresee people not dumping the beer there, but unless an achievement is aimed right at the beer in the DC I don't think people are going to use them for anything else, since there's a 5 minute wait between grabbing an item.

Maybe an achievement for pulling out 100 of the same item in a row out of the DC? Or an achievement like... "Second Hand Beer - Take (xx amount) of Free Beer from the DC" with it being tiered up indefinitely?

10:1 odds say more people dumping beer in the DC are doing it to troll the people who are freaking out about the DC.

With a 5 minute timer on the DC, a single troll could take on 400+ people trying to clear it. I would say good luck getting 50 to make a serious attempt at clearing it.

I wasn't very clear, let me try again.

I know what the beer was originally for, and I don't want the place you get it from to be closed permanently. What I meant was, it should be closed for a while to reduce the amount of beer being put out there, if it's really that bad of a problem.

See, I thought staff would close that off right after the plot we had not too long ago, then open it for a little while again during Alegarten, then close it again once Alegarten was over. Then it would be open for another two weeks or so every year around this time, or perhaps every now and then during some other special occasion, however the staff sees fit. What I didn't expect was for it to be open all the time, the way it is now.

But if that's what staff wants to do, well, that's their choice. Personally I don't much care one way or the other; I don't use the donation corner all that much. But I do like trying to find new things to do with cheap items on the site, which is why I posted in this thread.

Kind of off-topic, but I think a limit would be a good idea. Users would get 10 - 15 per day to use with each game, or something to that effect.

I just want the hard code of any item at 500K in any place (A shop, gallery, or vault) would be lifted, because apparently at the 500K mark, your items 'disappear'. they are there, but they are 'gone', and you can't do anything with them. I think feeding x to 'all' your pets might be a good one as well as deleting them, might help w/ the clutter, and I can always use more.

I don't more "clicking" related achievements, because that's all deleting something is, mindless clicking, and we have enough of that already. Q__Q

Maybe we could have something like, a give free beer to Drunken Carl? And maybe the more beer he gets a day the more likely he'll be drunk and the more liekly you can get better prizes? :)
