Does it stay an experiment pet?

So I'm zapping badly named pets into pretty pets in hopes they get a better chance of being adopted...call it a project to keep me from boredom. x3

I pounded an experiment earlier, and my friend gasped because apparently, it was her favorite experiment, so I desperately went searching for it again to give to her.

I scrolled through the pound and I think I found it again (/think/ meaning, it had a bunch of random symbols and asterisks before its name, that I'm not sure if it was the same), but turned back into the original form I had adopted it as.

So do they revert to normal, or was it just my mistake?

All of the experiment pets I've pounded have stayed the same. I know that some colors can "disappear" if you use the search feature to find the pet, so I don't know if Experiments also do this when searched for...

The only color that reverts back to normal is Hydrus.

If you see a pet in the pound by browsing, you will see it's real color. If you search for it by name it will show up as common, even though it is still whatever color it was when it was pounded.

Only scribble experiments will look like the COMMON experiments when you search them. But experiments are species too, so what would it change to?
