Growlithe needs a colour D : Help?

So I just got Growlie from the pound...I want to paint him sooo bad already but what colour?
No suggestions of:
~Glacier ~Galatic ~Reborn ~Dark matter ~Spectrum
Cause I already have those emphasizes this now since everyone seems to think I'm anti-Reborn MONTRES!!xD Or any common colours like Arid,field,marsh,etc.And I don't think BR either,I have 2 BR pets already and that's all I want really.
I was thinking chibi and get an overlay where he looks like a Growlithe;the colours,markings, etc. but what do you think?
I have ALMOST enough for Chbi right now.But I WOULD save up for Angelic and just zap Growlie in the mean time.
Which plan sounds better?
EDIT: I MAY...MAY make him a kumos if you have suggestions on that I'll gladly think about them too. :3

Well, if you're dead set on him being the growlithe image, I'd break all the rules and say a sun ruffie with a pretty overly. But I LIE.
Otherwise, I'd say that the Chibi idea would work out. It'd need a lot of tweaking to fit, but it could also end up really cute. Otherwise, looking at the other montre options (I'm biased against Kumos. Eh.) I'd say your chibi option would be the best plan.
...Or you could zap him. o3o
