Here's your story. Sorry it took so long, some things came up, but right as everything went back to normal, I had to go on a senior retreat.
Hope you enjoy it.
story
Banishment. That was her punishment for not meeting society’s standards. The standard of society where men rule and women have little power….that was no life for Lydia Ravencross. She wasn’t the one to change how she was just because people told her. And she faced the price of losing her life as a princess.
But was she missing it…not at all. She was able to become her own person, her own keeper. She didn’t have someone constantly ordering her around, telling her where to be or what time she had to be there. And if she did go out, she had to have a palace guard with her. Though now, she was free to walk around the city and blend into the crowd.
And another thing she didn’t miss at all was the dresses. She was actually becoming quite fond of dressing like a male now. It wasn’t because she wanted to though; she had to protect her identity. She needed to become someone who had power, and by dressing as a male she did.
She walked around the busy streets filled with vendors, a small smile danced across her face, as she made it through the crowd. She imagined her how her life would still be at the palace. It wouldn’t be the same as her life was now. She wouldn’t be free; she wouldn’t have the power she has now. And most of all she wouldn’t be able to outsmart the men at their own game.
More people passed by, and the smile on her face disappeared only to be replaced with a frown. She saw women walking around, being escorted by men, and not being treated right. She watched as they obeyed orders. This wasn’t right, society should have men and women being treated equally, and not having the men be the rulers.
That was one thing she knew she had to do. She had to make it so that they were equal. And the day when she did come back into power, and rule the kingdom once again, she would make sure that the tables will be turned, and no one will have the dominant rule over the other.
Awesome character! I'll get started on it next week, finally its spring break:) And sorry it took so long to respond.
