Just got a new copy of elements 10, and I haven't used PS in a few years for various reasons. Anyway, I've forgotton how to do those lines that you sometimes see across avatars and banners usually grunge banners.

If anyone can link me to a tutorial? I tried to find an example of what I'm talking about but I couldn't XD

I always use Filters > Sketch > Halftone Pattern and then select line. Just filter a separate layer and then rotate the lines to your liking as they will be horizontal when you filter the layer. Not sure if Elements has that. I'm on CS2, so apologies if I'm no help. )':

Yup Elements can do that, I didn't actually know about that though 'cause I haven't fully explored it. I'll have to have a play with it! Thanks!
