How exactly do I get crystals for the Crystal Shop?
You get crystals by using the fragmentizer (in the DarkSide now) and fragging items. Rare items give you 1 crystal. Super rare you get 1 but can get 2 when you frag them. Under rare it's hit or miss if you get one.
I wouldn't frag anything too much more expensive than the cost of the crystals in the shops. I usually do at most under 3k for rares, under 5k for super rares and under 500sP for others. But that is just me. :)
In order to use the crystals in the crystal shop you need to turn them in. YOu can see how many you have from the shop or from your currencies page.

if you use the same rare item more then once does it still give you crystals?

- yes, you can frag multiple copies of the same item. Actually, that's what I do, look for a cheep rare item and buy as many as I can, then go frag them.
