I thought that with all the pet/animal wearables on site, it'd be fun if there was a way of creating a standard, common color version of each pet on Subeta that could be found standing next to you/on you in some way shape or form. That way it'd feel as though your pet, albeit in standard color, would be playing with you instead of just being in the pet section of your account.

Obvoiusly, with 66 different pet species and 34 experiments it'd take some time for them to all come out, but thought it'd make it a bit more personal.

I couldn't see all the different colors for pets coming out, too, as that'd just be too much work. However, the 4-legged pets could be standing or sitting, the smaller ones could be sitting on your shoulder or head and the larger ones could be background items of some sort.

I think this has been suggested before, and I might be remembering incorrectly but uhm, I'm sure it was said it's not going to happen? Maybe. Someone else would have to back me up on that haha. But I know it was definitely suggested a few times before, and with it still not being implimented kinda sounds like they don't wanna do it.

I also remember someone asking if we could make CW's of our pets, and they weren't allowed to do that either so yeah.

I could see this as plausible, not right away but eventually. There's already the , and the always reminded me a bit of an arid paralix.

Yeah I'm pretty sure this was suggested at least once before, and if I remember correctly (which I may not) this was how the leash feature for having your pet turn up on the forums came to be.

I can only imagine the whining this would cause when a certain pet species or color someone wants to showcase isn't released as quickly as others. I thought the pet leash feature was implemented partially as a response to people wanting to display a certain pet with their HA? (I could be completely wrong on that, though)

I think this was shot down last time due to the fact some pets are huge and would not fit in the HA box, and others are very tiny and would not show up well. Plus, since we have no standard as to how big pets really are, some folks might think they're bigger/smaller. Someone , I think is working on a project to resolve this if not officially.

Over all I think Pets should stay pets, and human avatars, just human avatars.

I can see it now: the tutani and torrent gasping for air at the HA's feet.

I think the main problem here is the size of pets in conjunction with humans (the HA's). If you look at the delphi map you can compare some of the pets to the human shopkeeper. The rreign is so big, if it was standing next to the HA, you'd see its front legs and maybe a bit of its chest. The tutani is a giant whale, so like only its giant eyeball would be seen near the HA. :|

I loved the idea of the Pet Leash feature...until it came out. It'd've been nicer if the whole pet could be shown instead of a teeny, tiny headshot. I was moreso imagining it to be like the Active Pet size on your sidebar. For 100 CSC it just didn't seem worth the while. I'd pay 100 CSC if the whole pet was displayed, but not just a bit of a pet's face :S

Actually I remember this being brought up fairly recently (within the past year) and us being told that something to this effect COULD very well be happening at some point (:

If I can dig up the board/post I'll edit my post to include it. It was on a CW board where someone was planning to make CW jollins and tl;dr that's the source of why we can't have subeta pets as CWs.
