Last night me and my boyfriend stopped at a local UDF store to buy a couple of drinks for my family before getting home. Since we had my puppy in the car I just wanted to get in, and get out within four minutes to get back to him.

I guess I missed a sign that mentioned a sale on shakes, and the lady employee (Julie?) asked me if I knew, and since I didn't have my glasses on I didn't see it. The male employee however told her that "If I was to stupid not to see the sign, then me and any other customer are just stupid and shouldn't get it." He also called me a trick. Which is pretty much saying I'm somewhat of a slut. I was slightly offended, and when I commented I wasn't wearing my glasses and he was rude he repeated it, and thanked the lady for telling me. While making a coffee I started a conversation with Julie bout extreme couponinhg and how it only bugged me as a cashier when I got the remark "Military families are allowed to use expired coupons!" From customers who weren't in the military or had family in it.

The male employee then decided to butt his nose in again and went on a rampage about how the military is stupid and they do nothing. He is in way more danger while working at a UDF because it is a gas station! He could be shot! And at least they have guns! Again slightly offended I stated they're our soldiers and do a lot for us. In the six minutes it took to make my damn shakes I head how he hated America and wanted to live in Japan or China while throwing rude comments at me the whole time do to the fact that I look Asian.

The manager only shrugged him off and said he was a handful (I was about to snap.) and how rude costumers could be by asking him if he spoke English. I tried to shrug it off saying "Most people aren't that bright, I get confused for being Asian. They even ask me if I speak Japanese." Then the guy had the nerve to say that I must know it because the way I looked.

I called the store today, and got an assistant manager. :/ They gave me a number to call corporate and complain. I kinda want to but..ah. My anxiety dislikes that very much.

I know I sound "Omg SUCKY COSTUMER! GO AMERICA!" But really I'm not. :x

If I were you I would not stop until that guy was removed from his position, or at the very least after causing a lot of trouble for him. I hope you're able to overcome your anxiety and get him into trouble.

I'm not sure how the manager was there and hand-waved the situation. There are certain behavioral standards that have to be followed in most occupations and failing to follow them is grounds for firing.

My sister wants me to, as my boyfriend has the same issues I do he wants me to as well. I tried calling in, and received a robot stating their hours, they're not open for another twenty minutes.

You should definitely try to get that prick fired. Who the hell does he think he is saying things like that to another human being?! I hope you can overcome your anxiety, because something needs to be done about him.

I also vote you call them. Granted, I'm the kind of person who doesn't like confrontation, but when you think about it, if he's done that to you, he's probably done it to others, and will continue because thus far he's gotten away with it.

I would have flipped the fuck out on him. If there's one thing I will stand up for, it's our military. My dad is a Vietnam vet, both of my grandfathers served in WWII, my ex is a 2 time Iraq War vet, and the guy I'm pretty much head over heels in love with also served in Iraq. So yeah, if I was you, I'd call and raise hell. Not just because of what he said about the military, but that he called you a slut.

I would definitely call and complain about this douchebag. Nothing about that was acceptable. He was harassing you. With the tough economy out there, I'm sure there are MANY nice people willing to take that ass's place. You'll be doing them a favor by reporting this guy! :D

That's why I wasn't sure, I dislike getting people in trouble. To the max, specially with a bad economy.

He probably has, I know he had another job a few months ago at a dollar store, as he mentioned something bout it to me. So I'm guessing that was a job lost as well.

Rofl! Glad I'm not the only one who got mad about the military part, a lot of my friends are also in it. I really was just annoyed before he started that rant and went on and on about it. Even if you don't like them, you should still respect. :x

I did. I usually go there a lot in the summer with my friends and haven't ever had an issue, sides them telling my brother a terrorist for trying to buy money orders. But that was store policy.

I did, the company said they should check into it. I'm just going to have to drive a bit further for my UDF coffee from now on. :x

at that point, i become the shitties customer ever and WRECK ALL OF THE THINGS for him to pick up while one duty. and, if he doesn't, oh well, bc then the next shift has to and they'll be pissed he didn't do it on his shift.

also, lol wut. i work at a gas station. sorry, i didn't realize having a job was ever a bad thing. people like you are all sorts of stupid, and yes, i will gladly always tell someone that wants to insult my job off. you're kind of a moron if you think his job has anything to do with him as a person. i wish i had like fifty eye roll gifs and could post my favorite flip off one, too. (and before you boo hoo about it, yes, i WILL talk to a customer this way if they insult me or what i do to put myself through college and afford my living expenses.)

Oh please. You obviously have some anger issues that you need to work out if you think calling me a moron on the Internet will help defend your job position. If you /really/ were capable of getting a legit job, you wouldn't have the inclination of yelling at customers. It's called 'customer service' and I'm pretty sure there's a rule about that. If you're okay with putting your temper over a paying job, fine, whatever. But don't be all pissy at me for pointing out that some people with issues can only get work at gas stations. one day, all the children of the world will grow up and realize that in the current US economy, any job is a good job... especially one that pays well over minimum wage over 75% of the time. shitty customer service happens everywhere, and no, you don't have to just take everything the customer throws at you. one day, people will stop being morons. until then, when shitty customer service reps yell at you, you get 'em fired!

Madame, you should most defiantly call. I have NEVER heard of an employee being so rude before and he deserves to be fired for it. If it were me, I most likely would have gone off, thrown my drink in his face and stomped out. Rude people get no sympathy from me. Ever.
