I got some clay and foam sheets yesterday when i was out with my mom yesterday.

Foam Sheets like this kinda

The clay isn't of a 'good variety' i think. It's apparently the kind that never dries out. I left some out overnight, along with a little person i made, and they're still squishy.

And i'm looking for EASY ideas, mainly Subeta or possibly Pokemon related.

Suggestions please? :D

What exactly are you trying to do with the materials? Are the foam sheets supposed to be the base or something?

Edited to ping :)

the foam sheets would be the actual design, and some 'bits' to keep the pieces together in the back for now, at least until I get more of them.

And i want to make something Subeta or Pokemon related with them

Oh, I see. I was imagining the clay as the main parts. I've never worked with foam and never really thought of it before. Sorry. But good luck! I like the Pokemon idea :)

I guess I COULD make a foam sheet and clay thing, but i mean for them to be seperate items.

And if I get good enough, I may sell here on Subeta.

separate really does make more sense. If you were thinking of working with the clay, you could make custom subeta pets (wearing accessories, different colors, etc.).

That'll be a while off XD. What VERY EASY ones would you reccomend?

The person i made last night wasn't very good. But did find a nice combo of a gray-ish type, and orange to get a decent skin color :D

Hmm.... Well, I personally love food charms. Ones that you could attach to keychains, or even larger ones. Fruit would be fairly simple I think. Bananas and pears unique shapes compared to other fruit so people would probably know what they are :)

The clay I have wouldn't be good for making the charms, it's too 'squishy'. and for now, i can't afford the air dry sort that would be good for that kind of thing.

What brand of clay do you have? Do you know? A lot of clays that don't air dry are meant to be baked in a normal oven and harden there. That's the kind of clay that I use, if you remember my clay board from earlier. c|

It's some cheap walmart brand, got 20 'sticks' for $3.50 or so.

and this kind specifically says NOT to put in an oven.

Yeah, that isn't a great kind. :c I had some of that before, but I didn't know it couldn't be baked so I put it in the oven. It melted into a nasty-smelling mess and I think it might have destroyed the baking sheet. xD Ummm. If you want to make something, you could make some chunkier Pokemon like dragonite or tangela and they shouldn't sag on you. Omg tangela would be fun to make. o.o

I have no idea what you can do with foam sheets.

The kind of clay you have sounds a lot like it might be an oil based clay, like plasticine... does it feel a little bit oily when you use it? Mainly this kind of clay is good for doing stop motion animation.

If you want clays that are cured (hardened) though baking, you want to look for something like Sculpy or Fimo, though the clay you have is still perfectly good to learn on, with what techniques will work for you with your sculpting :3

That sounds like children's modeling clay, used mainly for play. The foam sheets could be made into masks, or folded/taped/pasted into three dimensional forms.

I didn't really notice. I also bought some more today, of a different brand that was a lot harder to squish, which I think made it a bit better for the little figure thing I made.

I found a sewing pattern i had on my laptop of a Domo, and I made one of those, but the 'cutouts' didn't work too well. But i guess it was good for a first try :D

If you search "foam sheet 3d animals" you can see examples of other kinds of projects people have made with those foam sheets, they might inspire you a bit. :)
