Hey there. ^^ So, I’ve kind of had this idea in my head a while now, after finding out about the film Summer Wars. Basically, the virtual world in the movie is called Oz. I then began to imagine – what if Alice in Wonderland was in a similar virtual world? Thus this idea was born!

THE PLOT Essentially, the basic idea I have for this is that Wonderland is the latest sensation online, a popular MMORPG based off the Alice in Wonderland stories, where people can create and customise their own character and interact in a virtual paradise. Users can gain points through friendly battles, completing quests, buying and selling items for the game, and even interacting with others. In battles, users can equip weapons, and also use special playing cards, whose effects vary on their suit.

However, recently, a hacker known as the Queen of Hearts managed to get her hands on an incredibly rare card, the Immortality Card. She quickly used this card to usurp the creator’s control, and now is ruling over Wonderland.

Somewhere out in the real world, however, a teenage boy, a Junior Mod in Wonderland [known there as Blanc], introduces his best friend to the game. She creates a character of her own named Alice, but is quickly pulled into the madness of the virtual world as she meets some mysterious Mods resembling some certain characters and gets caught up in the Red Queen’s schemes.

CARDS As well as weapons, players are able to use cards. As explained, cards of a certain suit all fall under a certain umbrella effect, but depending on the number of the card, the effect differs. Cards with more powerful effects are obviously rarer, with some which are one of a kind – Ace Cards. The Red Queen has the Ace Card of Hearts, so I suspect her plot would be to get the Ace Cards of the other suits? Although characters carry around decks of cards, they can only activate up to three at once – once one card’s effect stops and it goes offline, it cannot be used again in the battle, but a new card can be set up in it’s place.

Symbols of love, cards of the Heart Suit are used for healing. When activated, they have a range of effects which heal the user, from a simple healing spell on the player or a teammate, to health regeneration through the battle, stealing health from an opponent and absorbing it, delayed healing, and healing status effects.

Symbols of strength, cards of the Diamond Suit are used for defense. When activated, they can provide a range of defensive uses, such as preventing damage for one turn, protecting from certain types of attack, creating shields etc.

However, I’m a little stuck on the effects of Club and Spade cards. ^^ Help would be appreciated with that.

CHARACTERS Our “main” character, I suppose, will be our Alice, who is up for someone to play. The best known Wonderland characters apart from Alice are known as Mods, and all can be claimed. You can claim these now if you want, first come first serve, and these include:

The White Rabbit – The Dodo - OPEN The Caterpillar – OPEN The Cheshire Cat – OPEN The March Hare – OPEN The Hatter – OPEN The Dormouse – OPEN Tweedledum – OPEN Tweedledee – OPEN The Queen of Hearts – OPEN [come on, bad guy anyone? xD] The White Queen – Not open until later. The original creator of Wonderland.

If I’ve missed any canons you’d like to play, please say! Some of the Wonderland characters will be NPCs, I haven’t decided which yet, but probably the likes of the Jabberwocky and the Bandersnatch. Original characters can also be created, but for heavens sakes, not a million sisters of the Cheshire Cat, m’kay?

I suppose this roleplay would be played out in the virtual world, but mentions of the real world would be made. Of course, they are only roleplaying a persona, but would their real world personalities ever come out?

SO. Is anyone out there interested? ^^ Have any of you got any ideas?

I'll be willing to play The Caterpillar if you would let me. Spades in symbolism represent the power of darkness so a suggestion would be that they inflict status effects like poison or paralyze. Clubs symbolize progression so they could be used for stronger attacks or possibly summoning beasts?

This sounds like SO much fun! I assume you based a bit of this off the newest movie, which I haven't seen yet, so I won't be copying any of their takes on the original characters. As far as Mods go, I would looove to either be the Cheshire Cat or double as both of the Tweedles. I have basic character ideas for both of them, so whichever you prefer.

- You may certainly play the Caterpillar! And yeah, those are some good ideas. :3 Spades shall equal status effects or stat enhancements [remembering this is a game, but for simplicity, we can just say ATTACK UP! or whatever], and Clubs perhaps stronger attacking magical spells?

- You can pick whichever you like. ^^ I've sort of based this, I guess, on a mix of the new Alice in Wonderland, the aforementioned Summer Wars, and flicking briefly through a copy of the Alice in the Kingdom of Hearts manga. xD Maybe a touch of Yu-Gi-Oh or Bakugan in the mix too in terms of the cards? xD

Attacking magical spells should work well, it would give people a lot of interesting details to work with. Would we be able to make up are own cards or are you the one doing that ? :)

I can't decide if I want to be funny or scary. The Tweedles will be funny, but Cheshire will probably end up being incredibly creepy. Which do you think would be more fun, and more fun for the other characters to interact with?

- Each person can make up unique cards for their character, but other characters can then own these cards too. So, for example, if someone makes 2 of Hearts a regeneration card, then other people can give that card to their character. However, mod characters can have unique cards too, just state they're so. When we start, I may put up a massive reference post, and when cards are created, I can put them in the post. :3

- Ah, the great struggle between cool and comedic. xD Well, people willing to play the Cheshire Cat are always dead easy to find [don't blame 'em, he would have been mine had I not decided to be nice and keep him open for others/I suddenly found inspiration for the White Rabbit], and perhaps there could be more fun to be had playing the twins? I'd definitely allow you to play both twins, since two people playing them would be awkward.

I may also play the Queen of Hearts, actually. xD Just to make it easy.

It would be interesting to The Queen Hearts! I think I'd make a good bad guy?

- Excellente! That would be brilliant. ^^ I'll see if we get much more interest - I may set this up soon anyway, once there's a thread on the main board I'm sure there'd be more interest.

Well, maybe Alice could be sooo new that she wouldn't know how to do everything. So, the others to see if she is Alice(if we are doing the same plot as the newest movie) they enter her in a battle. But she loses? Hey? What happened?
