Hey, everyone!

As you guys might have noticed, we added two new places for your pets to work for today at the Job Agency.

Let's be real -- there aren't that many places to choose from right now. So I'd like to hear from you guys as to some places you'd like to see on the job listings! Want a pet to work at the Library? Post it here! (Library is actually an industry I'm working on releasing soon, don't worry reading nerds!) Want your pet to work under Johannes at the Music Shop? Let me know. :D

I'm not promising that every suggestion here will happen. Some might be combined? Who knows! Ideally, I'd like to be able to release some new job places each week for you guys to use for your pets. I've got a small list of my own of places I'd like to release, but I want to know what you guys would like to see as well. :)

It would be great to have pets able to work for the Genetech Laboratory or the Magic Box -- maybe the Secluded Shrine? I feel like there's a lack of jobs that are aimed toward pets with mystical specialties or sci-fi roots, and either of those would be really neat additions to what we have already. Maybe the Gift Center too, for those charitably-inclined pets?

(Thanks for making this topic, by the way -- this is really cool!)

Oooh What about working for Saggitarius? Each rank could be a different job he wants you to do. Maid, food tester (lol he seems the type) personal driver, personal shopper, butler, ect.

Hmm what else...

What about working for Elwood? That would be kinda neat.

Also maybe give City Hall a bit of attention and have a job based around that?

I have Genetech on my list of places to add! It'll be fun to go all mad scientist. Secluded Shrine is too! :)

I like the idea of charity based jobs, though paying the pets would feel wrong. :(

The jobs in general are really neat but here's the biggest problem with me vs. new pet jobs: my pets currently 15k a day and it took like a month or a few weeks at least to get them there. I don't really want to sacrifice my current monies and position to explore the rest... especially when the top position might only pay 5k or the pet might not even have the intel to move that far up. I'd explore with more pets but they have even stats and I don't want to kill that 8(

It would be really cool if you could like.. transfer par say. Like if you worked at walmart as a corp. executive, and you decided to apply at Target because they had better benefits and pension plans.. you wouldn't have to start working there as a cashier.

So yeah like, maybe if a pet's worked at one place for a period of time at the highest position we could at least see the highest job requirements or something. I dunno. Maybe I'm just lazy and 15k is cool XD

.... also could you make it where pet jobs don't give stats to capped pets? I'd like to earn my gangsta income with Craig but he's capped and if he gets like 6,401 health I'ma have to murder someone so I just, don't collect his salary anymore.

Then maybe having pets participate in charity work could be a separate feature or just be listed with the rest of the jobs but have a note saying something like "Warning: as this is for charity your pet will not receive pay." Having pets do charity work could go well with some of the peoples' characters, and having "Job: Is a charity worker" or whatever show up on a pet's profile could be cool.

As for other potential jobs maybe you/we could go through all the lands and pick out a shop from each place where a pet could work. (I know it's really vague, but after I post I'll look through the lands and edit or make another post with ideas)

NO YOU MUST WORK HARD AT EVERY JOB NO TRANSFER 4 U.

Honestly, that doesn't seem so bad. I'll discuss with about the stats thing, for sure. Also upping the income for the higher up levels for current jobs (and future ones) maybe to make it worth it a tad bit more than just a cool job title like Brew Master.

That's what I've been doing on my own. I made this board to see what places would be a higher priority to add! I could easily make a list of all the places and just push out 2-3 a week, but if more people ask for say Thimble & Co. rather than working for Melody, then I want to push out Thimble & Co. first :)

I DON'T WANNA. I WORKED HARD ONCE WASN'T THAT ENOUGH?

I would say just to flat out transfer but at least seeing the top pay grade and requirements would still be pretty cool and let you know if it was worth the long run (insert the long trek to getting top position in SAI only to be faced with needing more intel than I had... he was close, and that still sucked XD), or if the job title was even fun enough to want.

Also yes please, do that. I know on one hand BREAKIN' THE RULES WITH MY CAPPED PET STATS but since there's literally no way to remove stats I would kinda die inside.

.. as for job suggestions I'm diggin' the brew one, and MAD SCIENTIST! Sable Smithy would be cool too, and even the um um Alchemist! That'd be really awesome o

... I'd also love to see like, one for Saggi. Maybe it doesn't require a great deal of intel (anyone with a few crayons would be bright enough not to serve him) but it takes like 6 months to advance to the top position, which pays well and is like Sagittarius's Personal Assistant because we all know he's an ass but pays well.

came up with the titles for the Brewery jobs and they are fantastic. We worked together on the Battle Coliseum and some of them are pretty cool too (like the starting rank is Post-Fight Clean Up haha).

Maybe to transfer to another job, you have to put in a bribe (that has a chance of saying LOL NOPE WE DON'T WANT YOU BUT THANKS FOR THE MONEY). Make it a little difficult to change.

Oh, oops lol. But I still really like the idea of charity work being an option and the pet not receiving pay. A lot of my pets don't receive much pay at all, and I forget to collect their pay a lot anyway, so I would be okay with giving my pets charity jobs and just not getting sp for it. Just the idea of having their job say they're a charity worker is really cute to me.

An idea I have is more Shadowglen jobs. I have some villain/evil whathaveyou characters and it just feels kind of weird having them work at Quick Bites or something. Things in Shadowglen: The mage, the pet could be a Mage's assistant or something, or some jobs at the shops in the zombie underground area. Or even somehow maintaining the pumpkin patch.

I'm looking into some job titles we could use for charity! :)

Yes, Shadowglen/Darkside lack jobs. This is why I wanted suggestions, I want everything well rounded for those who enjoy having backstories etc for their pets!

I like the idea of working with the mage, and an alchemist title would be rad.

What about something with the Omen Islands, too? SUPER SPECIAL KEEL HOLIDAY JOB? (like you can only get it during the holiday??) I will legit take one or two pets out of their current jobs to make them pirates because reasons. I will do it!!

Oh I had another one and I forgot.. HUSTLER! Eavesdropper, Pick-Pocket, Swindler, Tactician, etc etc! (THINK OCEAN'S 11 YES).

I second, third, and pfffht billionth having a pet work for Saggi! 8D I could sell my soul for that!

I also think it'd be great to have jobs that ask for pretty high stats in strength for starting positions, since almost all high-stat jobs demand high Intelligence only. I don't know about the Coliseum job since it's new, maybe that'll end up demanding a lot of strength... .v. Perhaps Major Drills could offer a job for a strong pet? Could be a lot of fun!

I think LuckBurnSide's pumpkin patch job is also a great idea! I like it and personally, I think it'd be hilarious if Skelly paid the pets in pumpkins during Morostide. :D

[Edit] Ayy, zombie job sounds like a blast!

-Tending to the graveyard seems like a possibility for Shadowglen; pets could water plants planted on or near the headstones and work up to digging graves or calming spirits or something. -Total support for Thimble & Co. -Yun Enterprises -Vending Machine maintenance? -Darkside could employ pets for the Zapper, smithing, gas mining for "refined magic" -Riverside could use some employees for their National Park

Yeah, you'll need some strength later on in the Coliseum. The first job is just cleaning up, doesn't require much strength!

Oooh. Working at the training center with Jim or just dealing with Major Drills could mean a lot of strength.

Having a job related to being an assistant chef for Pete could be interesting.
