To spend in the steamworks shops, how do I get them and where?

At the moment you can only buy them from other users. They are part of the Atebus Masquerade event - there they are given out as a little reward when you dance with another user. C:

Yes. The Steamworks Trinket is for the Steamworks Menagerie shop that sells clothes and so on, the other Masquerade Trinkets (Lounge Trinkets) are the ones for the Libertine Lounge that sells food items. :]
