There is currently construction going on in my city (seems like all the time actually), and there was plenty of warning signs to get in the left lane. So, I'm in my left lane keeping tight to the truck in front of me because I don't want to let anyone in. At the end of the right lane was this Mercedes SUV. He tries to cut me off and I lay my horn and go around him. Then he tries to cut me off AGAIN and I swerve because I was two inches away from his bumper. I was getting yelled at "It's a merge!!!!!!" Then my brother shouted back "Learn how to drive you little bitch". Last time I checked, there are NO merges in construction.
So, CC, would have let him in or not?
Yes, because even though he was annoying, I'm not going to be all road-ragey and cause traffic issues where there are construction workers out and about exposed to the vehicle traffic with no bodily protection.
Idk, it depends. If he wasn't in the way of/about to hit/interfering with the actual construction or any of the workers, then no. I'd just be like, "you're a dickwad and should know by now how to act in construction zones." If there was literally no where else for him to go or something, then yeah, I'd probably let him in, but I wouldn't be happy about it.
My town is really small and there's like one main road that EVERYONE uses to get in and out of town and they were doing construction on it for like a month to widen it. It was super annoying because everyone was driving idiotically because there actually WAS a merging lane once they had the road widened to two lanes in both directions (instead of one) and were doing the finishing work. So douchebags who thought they could pass everyone got in that lane and sped up only to get stuck behind the construction that was obviously still happening in that lane. So I know how you feel. >.>
I think squeezing people is wrong just because you want to get ahead of everybody else cause you don't want to wait. I think he should wait just everyone else.
-sigh- There's always going to be people who'll want to squeeze themselves as far as they can into the lane to get ahead of everyone else. It's just a sad fact of life. As much as drivers like that irritate me, I would've probably let him get in front of me to avoid any traffic issues. And also, I really prefer having aggressive drivers in my immediate eyesight rather than tailgating behind my car (I'm very protective of my vehicle).
Nope, I wouldn't have let him in, especially if he just tried to push his way in front of me. I really hate when people do shit like that.
I would have let him in to avoid any issues since construction is going on, and many people such as construction workers would be in danger if things got out of hand.
Ugh, asshole drivers. I hate people like that. You should hear the langauge that comes out of my mouth when shit like that happens. I have zero patience when it comes to driving (or anything involving other people really, lol). I probably would not have let him in. Unless someone is being polite, they don't get an inch from me.
