So, I found a book at a garage sale this morning (Just in case you're curious). I got it for 50 cent, and I could sell it for far more since it's brand new.
If you do so, where do you sell things at online? I'd prefer not to tangle with Ebay, and would prefer to use livejournal or tumblr communities, possibly directed towards manga and anime.
You could sell it on Amazon yourself maybe? They're going for 8 + 3.99 shipping.
I've done that quite a bit myself with books. Mainly textbooks. I bought a really nice looking Marketing textbook from a garage sale for 50 cents, decided to check on Amazon and see how much it was worth on a whim and it said it was 75 dollars! It was a very good buy and I managed to sell it for that much as well. :) Haha, was very proud of myself.
I also made about 400 dollars last semester cause I noticed a science professor was getting rid of a bunch of textbooks and just put them outside her office for people to take. I took a few and checked the prices on Amazon and I was SUPER happy cause most of them were going for upwards of 50 dollars! Ended up going back and taking the rest. :P
You might want to take down the part where you mention how much cheaper it sells for on amazon, that'll probably just get people to go to amazon. [Edited this part out because for some reason I thought it was a textbook you were selling]
Or you can put some glitter on it and sell it on etsy.
It's only $13.13 on amazon, so I doubt you'd be able to get more than maybe $10 at best. Even though it's in good condition it's still basically used/pre-owned so I don't know how much people would pay for it...not sure if it's a popular manga or not but that would also factor in. I usually prefer to just buy books new if it's not a fairly good discount, because then you have the assurance that it will be in good condition.
I haven't sold anything online but my friend said she's had good luck with ebay. Otherwise maybe try to find a manga forum or something? I dunno :P
, Ditto what said. You are pretty much going to convince everyone that is interested get it from Amazon instead.
I doubt that this will lead anywhere, but In know that the Barnes and Noble where I used to live bought "used" books. If you give up on the internet sale, it might be worth checking out.
Eh, I wouldn't be averse to selling it cheaper really.I'd just rather Amazon not give me some piddly amount and sell it for more.
Someone asked why I would sell it; Manga isn't really my thing =/
I've sold things on Craigslist before. Video games, furniture. But there are definitely rules with that you have to follow. You should always meet the buyer at a public place and have someone go with you. Never go to the person's house or have them come to yours. My experience both buying and selling on there has been pretty good though. As long as you're careful, it's fine.
