i haven't really been forum active for awhile so i don't know if someone else has suggested this, but why isn't there a "are you sure?" confirmation for loyalty box totems? of course i guess we should be aware of what we're clicking, but there should still be a confirmation considering it's a pretty big part of the website

I think this has been suggested before, but ... there hasn't been any change and I don't know why. +1 this, bro.

I do get nervous clicking on them even though I haven't had a mishap yet. This is a good suggestion.

they are pretty distinctive, yes, but a confirmation would still be nice. there's confirmations for less important things

I think a better option would be to just make the loyalty totems transformable into each other. It wouldn't really affect anything other than making it easier to choose what you want to use it for. We can't sell or give them away, and they're one time use, so it there should't be a problem with letting us swap between them once we've chose one (especially if we choose the wrong one by accident).
Then, we should remove the confirmations that are useless? I find confirmations to be stupid, as they confort people in their MASH ALL THE BUTTONS, DON'T DOUBLE CHECK, and if there were none around, I'd be better off. Too many confirmation boxes make people careless, instead of careful
We were given a pet slot totem for achieving something two years ago, and it was meant as a pet slot totem, not as a loyalty box.
If something similar was to be given out again, what do you suggest?
I would not support a pop-up in general, because in my experience the "Are you sure?" statement simply makes me second guess myself. Like, oh shit am I sure? DID I CLICK THE WRONG ONE???? Then I hit "no I'm no sure" and essentially click the thing I wanted again with 125% intense certainty and ignore the pop-up that's offered me nothing but mockery in the event of me somehow misclicking.
I would, however, support a pop-up being added that said "Are you sure you want to choose -the totem thing you clicked on-?" if that's not possible then I'd assume no pop-up then one that just makes me paranoid.
.. frankly I'd prefer that type of pop-up everywhere onsite, opposed to what we have now. It does me no good in the Pawn Shop, in the Cash Shop, whereever else it happens without offering me a picture (zappers) or words (doing things to your pets) because yeah.. I hope I'm sure, Pop-Up, thanks for asking.
Given the small amount of times this has happened, it seems like a minor nuisance which would easily be solved by not giving out totems as gifts in the future and saving them exclusively for loyalty boxes.
not at all. confirmations actually make me double check to make sure i've clicked the right thing. they're helpful, even if they're in a useless situation. it just doesn't make much sense that something like a totem wouldn't come with one, but adding things to a collection does

Then, how come that as soon as something comes out and doesn't have a confirmation button, twenty people whine about it saying "I WASN'T WARNED ABOUT IT" even if it's written in bold text above the button. Even if the link mention what it does.
You mean, you don't double-check before clicking the button? Because this is what I have been doing and I don't need a pop-up to tell me to check a third time. I'm not that dumb, Subeta.
Hell. Fucking. No. Bro. Wrong answer. If I'm losing out on totems and get something like a wearablol instead because people aren't doublechecking, you bet I'm going to be upset.
people not reading =/= people wanting that extra step of confirmation. forgive me that i would like that bit of confirmation for something like this as opposed to none at all
also i'm a little annoyed you imply that wanting a confirmation makes you stupid?

I didn't mean change the prize to something crappy like a wearable. I just meant don;t give out the totem item. If the prize is an extra pet slot, just increase the amount of slots in the account instead of giving an item that does it (the totems are non-transferable, so people can't complain that they want the item to sell instead of just getting the slot).
I'd like a confirmation for the loyalty box totems. First of all, I'm disabled and my co-ordination isn't all that it could be. It would be very easy to click the wrong totem by mistake if site pages are jumping around due to site loading problems etc. I certainly wouldn't try to use a loyalty box when I know the site's having problems but, if I was unlucky, the site could start going funny just as I was trying to click on the totem I wanted.
I'm probably not the only disabled player with co-ordination problems either.
This has been brought up a ton before, but gods, I agree with this 10,000%. I haven't screwed up just yet, but...even so, I always get so nervous when I get them. Sometimes I like to hover over the totems before I fully decide and it's so nerve wrackingggg
it makes sense that there would be confirmation, considering you get confirmation for simpler, not as "expensive" options, so the fact there isn't one is sort of baffling

That'd probably be a wise idea in case someone changes their mind.
Not only people with coordination problems (me! me!) have these issues, but us with trackpads and "tap to click" mouses as well. If I am going to scroll down/up and accidentally touch one finger before the other, it clicks and could lead to disaster. Hovering over items in the Blue Building, e.g., makes me nervous to the point I have to go and disable that option to ensure nothing unwanted happens... AGAIN.
It's not just the people that don't double check, which I agree is reckless. It's the clumsy ones that end up screwing up actions without confirmation.
