So, I have to make a phone call to my old workingplace who fired me. It's going to be no fun at all, since it's about money and other burocracy stuff. I absolutely HATE such kind of phonecalls, it's awkward as hell and I keep stuttering on the line. I just hope I don't get an asshole on the hotline!

Oh man... I don't really have any support, but as someone who hates phones in general and understands how awkward conversations about money can be, good luck. The only thing I can say is don't let them fuck you over about it. If they owe you money, get that money, even if you have to be a huge asshole about it. Good luck!

Every phone call is an awkward phone call for me, I know that feeling so well! I always stutter or trip over my words, or what's worse is I just...can't...stop...talking when I'm nervous! I hate phones. ;_; Ramblingnattering isn't good for phone-talking-needs. But! I agree with , though! If they owe you anythin', just stick to your guns even if it's an unpleasant conversation. <3 And depending what sort of hotline it is, odds are you won't end up with an asshole - I'd say doubly so, especially since you're prepared for the worst! ;3 That's always how it goes.

Haha, the problem is that I owe them appearently something ^_^; that was the worst part. I just called them, and the women on the line was really nice :) not so bad at all. (But I still owe them money grrrr)

oo no that sounds awful. I hate making phonecalls in general, I wish texting was an acceptable form of communication in the professional world. that sucks you owe them money still, too :(

They paid me too much in the first month...and I didn't know that. :( Not my fault but still annoying...

Phone calls are awkward for lots of people (including me) for some reason. I think it has to do with how focused the other person is on your voice. At least for me. It's strangely intimate ._. But, I'm glad it was a decent call for you!

I dont know what state you are in but in FL there is a law that if you were paid too much and it went unnoticed for more than like 90 days or something they can't do anything about it and it's just your money. But that might not be the case if theyre already on you for it :p

The worst phone calls for me are the ones from family I never talk to.. I will never answer the home phone anymore no matter what. A bunch of my cousins have gone off to become lawyers, nurses, 2 went to the marines. My aunts/uncles ask me what I'm up to and it's like "......i.. cuddle with my kitties... and dress up my internet avatar... wussup"

You can pretty much forget that law here in germany. Someone told I should get in contact with a lawyer, but that would take months to clear everything. I just pay it and then I don't have to deal with them anymore, woking conditions weren't so great either :/
