SUMMARY

Welcome to Yōkai Academy - a secret school, located in the realm of monsters and accessed through a portal in Japan.

Yōkai Academy is a school that is built by monsters, ruled by monsters, and for monsters. The education ranges from elementary to high school and the campus also have an orphanage for parents who are unable to take care of their child, or simply negate them due to their monster origins.

Parts of the campus is surrounded by a fence that can only be accessed though the front gate. The school is surrounded at all sides by a barrier that prevent the Human World to see the school and vice versa. One of the ways to access the school is a tunnel to allow vehicles, like the school bus, to pass.

The only transportation to and from the school to the Human World is a school bus that travels to the Academy and back once a week. Otherwise Yōkai Academy has dorms and is considered a private boarding school.

Current classes include: Gym, Cooking, Art, Math, Music, Language Arts (Japanese), and Foreign Language (English)

Every Yōkai (monster) must also be able to shape-shift or give the illusion of a "normal" human form, or have a natural form that could pass for a normal human's in addition to their monster (Yōkai) form.

It is also illegal to be in monster form while attending Yōkai Academy, and against the rules to reveal one's monster form - though students sometimes do so anyways, much to the Headmaster's annoyance. Human form is the generally accepted and required form at Yōkai Academy.

Generally, humans are also not allowed to attend Yōkai Academy - save for human Tsukune Aono, a human who ended up at Yōkai Academy by mistake and now hides his human identity.

PLOT (participation is optional)

Yōkai Academy's Public Safety Commission, led by the kitsune Kuyou, is a group of enforcers on school grounds charged with protecting the academy. These members use their status to their advantage, similar to hall monitors, and anyone who opposes them is delivered swift punishment through methods of imprisonment and torture. They collect tribute and bribes from clubs, and if they do not pay, they will be shut down.

In the past, Ginei, or "Gin", Morioka, the werewolf head of Newspaper Club - once a member of the Public Safety Committee himself - turned on the club after having a change of heart, seeking to expose the Committee's corruption and abuse of power through the press.

The Public Safety Committee since have a long-standing rivalry with the Newspaper Club for seeking to expose their true nature, and had decimated the previous Newspaper Club in the past, leaving Gin the only member.

In the past few months, five students have joined the Newspaper Club alongside their President, Gin - Tsukune Aono, a human; Moka Akashiya, a vampire; Kurumu Kurono, a succubus; Yukari Sendo, a witch; and Mizore Skirayuki, a yuki-onna (snow woman/snow fairy).

With the Newspaper Club's new members, the Committee has unleashed a force of its own - the "New" Newspaper Club, an additional club formed by the committee to "force" the Newspaper Club into disbanding.

Recently, the Committee has also discovered evidence of Tsukune being a human - and plans on charging him with the "crime" of "infiltrating and spying for the humans at Yōkai Academy", with the punishment of death. While Moka knows that Tsukune is human, the rest of the Newspaper Club does not.

Now, Yōkai must choose a side - that of the Newspaper Club, and the human Tsukune; or that of the Public Safety Committee and the kitsune Kuyou.

Will Tsukune be found out and face his doom, or will the Newspaper Club and Tsukune cause the Committee's downfall by revealing their corruption? Your decisions - and those of other RPers - will decide.

RULES

1. Don't kill off other people's characters! (unless you have the creator's permission)

2. Do not Godmode. (The definition of "god modding" can be found here.)

3. Try to average 3 characters to each RP, though there is no official limit. If you have too many it's hard to keep up with them.

4. Post at least once a week in the RP, or you will be cut from it - unless you give me prior notice of an absence/vacation/whatever. Those who play a Canon character(s) and fail to post at least once a week automatically forfeit their Canon character(s).

5. No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stus allowed! (The definition of a Mary-Sue can be found here.) Anti-Sues or other "Sue" variants are also not allowed.

6. You (or your character-s) cannot swear.

7. I understand about typos and spelling errors, but try to refrain from them as much as possible. Use correct punctuation (commas, periods, exclamation point, etc.)

8. When actually posting and your character is talking, please use proper dialogue, such as quotation marks. Its confusing when its not used. (i.e. "Thanks," Gin said, "I really appreciate it.")

9. For your character description for profiles, you CAN use pictures, but also add some description of words with it. Don't let it be just a pic of your character, or I will either delete the character profile completely or ask you to edit it.

10. If you make a sub plot Role play, please make sure the plot is intriguing enough to go on for a while. I don't want a truckload of failed RP's or plots. If you have parts of a plot but don't know how to tie them together, you are welcome to ask me or another RPer for help. Also, if you make a RP (Role Play) and you're not sure on a title, just send either me a description of the plot and we'll help you with a title.

11. When creating a new Role Play it is preferred to post in the third person (ex. Kim went to the store), and keep Narrative (ex. I went to the store) to small Role Plays, with short plots and only needing a few characters within the storyline. When having an epic Role Play please post them in third person, this will cut down on some confusion.

12. You can create/take on as many characters as you want!! (Just make sure you can keep up with them)

13. When making a profile, plot, or actually role-playing I've been seeing some posts that don't pertain to the actual Role-Play. Please try to refrain from getting distracted and having random topics/discussions/posts in these sections. It confuses other members when they're trying read them. If I see this, I will ask the poster(s) to leave or stay IC, as it doesn't have anything to do with the role-play or character.

14. If you want somebody to talk to, please send them an sMail rather than posting it somewhere that isn't necessary for it.

15. If you're asking a question or saying something that pertains to the Rp and you are actually posting please use parenthesis and place it at the top of your post. (i.e. "OOC: blah blah blah")

16. No god-modding! You're character CANNOT be invincible! They have to have weaknesses. If another character throws a punch at your character you can dodge or take it seriously and fall from the punch with an injury.

17. You cannot (and I mean CANNOT) control another person's character.

18. If you play a Canon character, you must stick to Canon.

19. No automatic Love Interests allowed for Canon characters! (Except for Canon-Canon relationships that are true to the anime/manga "Rosario + Vampire".)

CAN MY CHARACTER JOIN?

Yes - as long as he/she can transform into, and maintain, human form.

You can also be any kind of monster or hybrid.

You can also join with an existing OC, create a new OC, or sign up for a Canon character.

Crossovers are also allowed, provided that the "crossover" character is a monster/supernatural creature or has a monster/supernatural form. (i.e. Naruto from "Naruto")

Witches/Wizards and other human-like "monsters" or "supernaturals" are also allowed.

Monster "hybrids" are called "Monstrels" and can have any array of abilities, as long as they do not venture into Mary-Sue territory.

If you create a Monstrel, please list what kind of hybrid that they are.
