Hey folks C:

I, like many on this board, am searching for a good, hopefully long term, one on one roleplay partner. For the past couple of days I've been scrolling through the forums but haven't been able to find something that works. So now I'm trying to remedy that with a post of my own.

Skype and e-mail are the best ways to get in contact with me. My accounts are litexmo and hhbmh(at)stu.ca, respectively. I'm on both frequently (provided I'm not working a night shift). I enjoy chatting and planning. I'm a pretty open book, so if you've got any questions, feel free to ask.

Limit wise, I'm open. I don't shy away from the details, and if you don't stop me, I will discuss mauled innards and conquests with language to make a sailor proud. This doesn't mean I have to. If you want me to dial it back, or you're not comfortable with certain aspects of anything, just be frank with me. Don't beat around the bush.

Rules are rules are rules. Most of us know them. I've been at this game for a few years, so I'm pretty comfortable with what's generally expected. Length/level wise, I'll try and match you. Short posts have their place, so I'm not going to say "no on liners!". If that's the pace we've got going, so be it. But I still need something to reply to. The opposite is also the same. I can write a novella for you if you want. A few paragraphs, a few pages, what have you. It's what you're comfortable with.

As for genres, I like to think I'm pretty versatile. I'm coziest in more fantastic genres, but also get very excited about more "realistic" situations. For fantasy, I love strange creatures, magic, modern settings, and, dare I say it, the overused horror cliches. Be warned, if you want something about vampires, I'm all for it. But my vampires are sadistic, brutal, and cunning. They're not fluffy and won't hold hands on a magic carpet ride.

Realistic things are a bit harder for me to get into, but if we can come up with an intriguing plot, I'm all for it. They've actually ended up being some of my favourite roleplays. I'm up for anything involving the mafia and criminal underbelly, pirates, rehab centres, or what have you. However, I may not be historically accurate for some of these things, but I'll try my best.

I have a difficult time with "patient x doctor" and things like that. They don't seem like plots to me. Okay, the patient and the doctor end up together, but how? And what else happens?

Finally, my characters float around on the sexuality rainbow. I'm comfortable, though may not be familiar, with most sexualities. If I don't know much about it, I'll let you know. That being said, back to the limits thing, if there's something you're not comfortable with, let me know. My main character might be straight, but there's probably some side characters that will pop up who won't be. So if you don't bring it up, they'll show up.

This sounds so refreshing. I'm interested in the prospect of my manipulative, serial-killing human empath meeting a vampire but the genre's tendencies have made me hesitant. Can we try this?
