Ever since the avatar system came out, it was always kind of my dream to be able to draw wearables for Subeta. but back then when it first came out (so long ago, it seems) I totally sucked, and up until recently I wasn't old enough and sucked at Photoshop, but I'm finally going to step up to the plate and give this the good college try.

:( I'm looking for feedback of any kind, could you see your avatar wearing this, does it fit with Subeta, other colors, etc.

I'll also take suggestions for wearables, new and existing, I checked with Keith, revamps are allowed for artist applications so that's always there.

Anyway, onto my total fail attempt.

I originally was inspired by these cute dresses I found while shopping at Macy's, and thought Subeta could use a 'little black dress' type item, so thus came this. (And I named it 'Little Black Dress' hurr)

(I feel like I'm setting up a wearable preview thread! :P)

And then, I wanted to try and different color, so I tried my favorite color, burgundy. (Okay, i totally added the little wishlist '+' because I am a geek and wanted to see how it looked. I am a loser, ok. :()

Yeah, so, that's all I got so far. :) Feel free to contribute anything, any feedback is really, greatly appreciated. ❤️

aww those are cute! I think the shading is a bit off somehow, I'm not sure why :P and the HA's Left side is too dark.

but really, wow! I'd love for that to be a real wearable!

Thank you! Yeah, i see what you mean, I think I overcompensated for the fact that the HA is lit from the left, i made it too dramatic. :P

Any suggestions for anything else? I was going to have a go at revamping the short short's, since they seem to be a popular thing that people want revamped.

try starting with a lighter base colour, you can always darken with wish shadow later, start too dark, and it ends up solid black with no line art at the darkest parts ;)

i like it, but i think it looks like some of the older art for the site, a little "plastic-looking" the shading should be a little more subtle, the lineart a little thinner. it just doesn't really look how real clothes hang.
