Can someone explain what this is to me please? Maybe a picture of what yours looks like? And what type of stuff goes into the custom css, and why.. Like what's the point to 'custom css'?

;; custom css is just a way to have a personalized site layout to your liking instead of the site layouts already provided on the site.
here's a few examples of how custom CSS can change the whole layout. there's all kinds of cool tricks you can use it for such as having event-items (think flowers that appear on pages during vesnali) appear on the top left corner with a red border around them, or removing the facebook information from the sidebar. not sure who dug up these codes, but it's a few examples of how convenient custom CSS can be.
wow, thanks!! i should've thought about looking on subetalodge :/ dumb me

some people take removing things to an extreme, like me screenshot
I've also customized my navigation to stay in the same top position when I scroll down so I don't have to scroll back up in forums.... :P
but ya, you customize how you want to go around the site through here. If you don't know the code for something, Q&A or Profile&Graphics boards always have people to help.

do your 'events' show on the dashboard side of the left column? if so, how'd you get to do that!?

there's a widget sideboard add-on for events. you can manage those from personal >> customize sidebar >> (add widget)

duh.. stupid me again.. goes to add that widget
