I'd really like to hear some opinions, it's of my real life pet Arwen. She's a cute little lynx point siamese.
Aww, she looks so soft and cuddly! :) I like the shape of the body and head, but where they come together isn't looking quite right to me and I'm having difficulty figuring out why--don't know if the neck needs to be just a little longer for that kind of a twist to work, or if it's just that the black line art of the ruffled fur at the neck is chopping up the transition or . . .? But I do think that aside from that it's looking lovely. :)
She looks... a little cross-eyed? I'm not sure if that was intentional but it's really standing out to me. ^^; I think part of the problem is that her right eye is a bit smaller than her left eye, so even if the pupils are positioned evenly it looks awkward. I also noticed your blended colors are going outside the lines in a few places, especially around the tail and back.
I really like the basic concept though, the pose looks nice and she's really quite adorable.
I think her right eye (our left) looks a bit smaller than the left one. I think making it a bit bigger would look a lot better, since that submitted with the fact that she's cross-eyed make it a bit awkard, but making the eye bigger would fix it. Also, I notice the light source is from the top left, but the light on the eyes comes from the top right. You may want to fix it, since is something simple :) I also think her right ear looks a bit to straight. Adding a bit more curves would make it more realistic imo.
But overall I think it's pretty good. If you fix it I know it'll end up looking super adorable! :3
I should mentioned it before, but yes, she is intentionally cross-eyed. The overlay is based off of my cat Arwen, she is cross eyed, and walks with her head tilted. (A lot of siamese cats actualy end up being cross-eyed). The right eye does appear to smaller I suppose, I think a bit has to do with the angle of the head, that eye should appear a bit smaller, but not as much as it does, I'll try making it bigger and see what that does.
I do not understand what you are explaining, could you maybe go into a little more detail? Is it where he neck meets her chest, or her back? (Her head is supposed to be a bit tilted if that's what you're noticing).
I'm kind of a messy color-er, haha, I was planning on touching it back up, I noticed when looking at it with a transparent background there's even white outside of the lines. Thanks though, my normal style doesn't normally worry about being in the lines too much so I hadn't even noticed the brown.
I didn't even notice that with the eye lights. I normally just try and stick them in where they fit and look best, but now that you've pointed it out it kind of bothers me. I'll try and fix it. As for the ears, I see what you mean there too, I noticed it when I first got done with the line art. I kind of like it though because it makes it look like that one is perked, and the right one is lazier and flopping a bit to the side, adding to the whole tilted head thing. The lines are pretty rigid though, so I'm will try and round it a bit.
Thanks for all the help guys :)
