I was speaking to a fellow Subeta user about how bothersome Subeta tends to get while not using the actual website. You can't delete notifications, the site access is very minimal, and to those of us who have touchscreen phones, please tell me I'm not the only one who has clicked on the wrong thing because of how small the links are! I would like to suggest a Subeta app, or maybe even a mobile website. I'm not sure if I have suggested this before, but I know that as a mobile user, the option to select my Subeta app or type in the Subeta mobile website would simply just make my day!
Just go to the bottom of the page and click "desktop version" and bammo I find the mobile version irritating and the desktop version is the same as of you were on the computer
The desktop version of Subeta for me is irritating. I don't have a big screen on my touchscreen, it's one of the earlier models, so Subeta either way is irritating for me and in turn I miss out on so much because I'm usually too annoying to even deal with the layout on my phone.
That's weird It works perfectly fine for me I can't imagine they would try to do anything more since they have a mobile version and give the option to use the desktop version though :/
Maybe not, but an app would be really useful. Instead of having to go through all of the trouble trying to using the mobile version or the desktop version on a cell phone.
i am online tru a mobile phone (atm!) , its a nokia symbian (buttons not touch) on 2G and i can operate and navigate the site just as good as on pc (except stuff that require java) just bookmark the pages you frequent and you are good to go :)
Keith has specifically said that an app is not likely, since there are so many other things with the site that need work. Personally I'm on my Nexus 7 and the site works fine for me, but it doesn't surprise me that there would be problems on older devices.
I think it's just a patience thing on an older phone like that
An app or mobile website would be wonderful.
Hmmm maybe. Could be too that my eyes are going bad and have no glasses lol. What I meant with the link thing though is that I actually have to make the pages bigger so I can actually clink on the right link. I want to be able to play games on my phone through Subeta. I want to be able to access my wardrobe through mobile on Subeta. But I can't, and it frustrates me.
That's a good point, I should. But like I said above, there is some parts of the site I can't access with the phone that I would LOVE to access and be able to change at any given time.
It's a shame that there won't be an app, but like I said, imagine how much easier it would be for people who are confined to a mobile device only such as myself. Not by choice either lol long story short: My brother smashed my screen 3 years on my NEW laptop, on purpose mind you, and I paid $100 to get it fixed a year ago, and it's still not. But yeah, I can see where Keith would say that certain problems would arise with an app. All I'm saying is that it would be a wonderful thing to be able to use.
I don't bother doing games on my phone or even wardrobe I just train, reply to comments, and look at my pings. That's about it. Anything else is tedious and not worth it
I suppose. What bothers me also about my pings and notifications, I can't delete them through the mobile website. Not even on the desktop view of Subeta. And then things start to stack up on my newsfeed and I miss posts and pings for myself because they get shoved down the list.
I see I think the only bummer is they already have the mobile version so there's not much else they can do and if they were to make an app it would be pretty much the same as the mobile so it would be a lot of work going into trying to make something that's pretty much the same exact thing
i think those parts you cant access is a flaw on your end rather than the sites fault , older devices dont have enough memory/processing to load certain pages on subeta .
I can see what you're saying. I'm glad that I'm getting so much feedback from everyone, even if it wasn't what I was expecting.
It very well could possibly be. I don't rule that out at all.
Sure thing I agree with Anasazi too that it could be the phone Could be limiting the ability to process certain aspects, such as the wardrobe, and older screens are more difficult to get an accurate touch sensor to work right
That is very possible. Too bad I'll never know! Lol
Well hopefully you'll be able to get a new phone/laptop sometime :) (I think it's prolly just the phone since it seems to be good for everyone else but like you said, no way to be sure :P)
