I've got a job interview at a bookstore on Sunday and I have no idea what to wear.

I own no dressy clothes and the book store is pretty chill in general.

I'd say no sneakers, jeans, leggings, or shorts even if the job is chill. It sounds like pants and a nicer top (maybe something with a collar and buttons?) would be fine. A casual skirt or sundress could work if it's still warm where you are. Dress more conservatively than you normally would and take care to look neat and presentable. Good luck! :)

Do you have any nicer clothes that aren't necessarily dress clothes? A dress would work, if you have one. Hmm...no sneakers or jeans for sure. If you do the whole leggings as pants thing, do not do that here. You could always just drop by a thrift store and get something for a couple dollars.

I found a pair of black skinny jeans that are dressy enough and a nice blouse with a cardigan and a pair of ballet flats.

Yeah, I'd go with that. You can get away with skinny jeans for something like this if they're black, and the rest sounds good! :D

dark jeans such as black or dark blue with NO HOLES, frays, wear and tares can be seen as dressy. Any shirt can be dressed with, as long as its not a tshirt with graphics on the front (Such as a scarf or jewelry). Dark jeans, plain tshirt with scarf and vest or overshirt (idk what its callex) would work... and flats are good...but no tennis shoes.
