Telling the CC about the awesome shit she got at Salvation Army today.
So I'm strolling through with, like, ten shirts over my arm, because I've completely run out of tee-shirts and I need a ton for a road trip I'm going on soon.
I'm picking through the women's shirts, when all of a sudden, I almost drop all the shit I have. I see that, in my picking through of the shirts, I have come across a perfectly-sized System of a Down shirt.
For ninety nine cents.

I just about cried. What a find! I mean, for the most part, stuff I buy there is just brandless junk with cool designs on it. 0:
To find a band shirt, one that I really like, for that matter... AWESOME.
Yes, I need to ritually make a thread like this at least once a week. Just get used to it, CC.
YAY SALVATION ARMY POST! ~
A band shirt for NINETY CENTS?! Holy fuck that is a find. D;
Your posts make me want to find a Salvation Army and go there. We must have one somewhere around here. The idea of wearing clothes that used to belong to someone else freaks me out major. But cheap band shirts are too hard to resist!
I must find one of these. :B
I was so excited, my mom had to tell me to shut up. x: Lol.
I've just become so used to it - we pass clothes around in our family like it's nothing. It don't bother me none. P:
Salvation Army's pretty much the best. I spent twenty-two dollars there today and got four pairs of shorts and seven shirts. GOOD TIMES.
I love thrift stores like Salvation Army ^o^ Although I don't really shop there a lot I've heard stories of people finding really awesome stuff there(like your band shirt)~

After this, I'm making my mom take me there today. I've never been XD Only to Good Will, I like thrifty stores, though :p
sweet Jesus do I see a Kenny vs Spenny signature?
Off topic, but I haven't seen that show since they stopped playing it on Comedy Central. ;____;
Another good thrift store is Vallue Village :) I've found Abercrombie, AE, all sorts of name brands there. Plus some extremely good deals on jeans and such, I've been able to snag several pairs of jeans for like $3-$4 each :D.
Your Salvation Army is amazing. You can't find decent stuff at my salvation army or Goodwill. I would've bought that SOAD shirt in a heartbeat. So cheap, and for that kind of band shirt u I'm gonna start looking in thrift stores now .-.

I've never been to a Salvation Army. I found some good stuff at Goodwill earlier this week, though. I'm losing weight and picked up some goal weight clothes to help motivate me. I also hit up Wal-Mart and got a prize Vanessa Carlton shirt from Swag Bucks. Some of them had to go back, though, because my super skinny mom tried on a few. They're just a bit loose on her, and I don't want to be that thin. :(

This is why I hate being overweight. My friends go and find the CUTEST clothing. I go and I leave with like..really old comics.

Plato's Closet has some great stuff in there. I've never looked in a Good Will or Salvation Army. I might have to take a look in one sooner or later
Thrift stores sound like so much fun. I honestly need to start checking them out.
and
$22 for 4 pairs of shorts and 7 t-shirts?! WHAT THE FUCK THAT'S CRAZY AWESOME.
Where I shop, ONE t-shirt is more than that. :c god i feel stupid now. Haha.
My money is always gone
just
like
...that. -snap- >:C
I adore resale shops. I bought recently kidlet's bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding, a pale blue strapless floor length formal for $7.50. Score. Closeup
HOLY STRETCH - Links Made.
I'm always finding cool stuff like that at the ones I go to, mostly saint vinnies here in town, and great hangups here in town.
collecting I love shopping at thrift stores. My favorite being goodwill because they are always cheap and they usually (depnding on the area) have stuff that isn't from 1983.
I'm afraid of my town's Salvation Army now. ;; I had the most terrible experience there.
My mom decides to drop off three stuffed garbage bags filled with clothes. These are some heavy bags, and she of course gives them all to me. I have the weakest arm strength of anyone so this was a terrible decision. So I drag the bags over to the door. Then I try to open the door. But the darn thing wouldn't open. So here I am surrounded by three huge garbage bags tugging at a door with all my might and these three girls and their father are just staring at me. They could have easily helped since they were on the other side of the glass. But they just stare at my helplessness.
When I finally get the thing open, I drag two of the bags in. I ask the girls where to drop the stuff off because this was my first time ever being in a Salvation Army and I wasn't sure what to do. She just stares at me and says ''i don't know'' in the snottiest voice possible. So I just walk off, dragging the bags behind me. I get the the front desk, and just plunk them down.
Then I walk outside (giving a glare the the snotty girl) and start to grab the third bag. But now there's this gang of Mexican women around it and talking Spanish. I say ''Er. That's mine. Can I have it?'' and one of the women looks at me and says something. I think she was asking me for the bag, but I couldn't understand her. I kept saying ''Huh? Sorry? What?'' And she kept laughing at me. So I just take the bag, run to the desk, drop it, knock over a vase, and run to the bike repair shop next door.
I WILL NEVER SHOW MY FACE THERE AGAIN. -shame- 8|
