I know this is probably a stupid question, but I want to make absolutely sure before I do this so I'm not spending any extra money I could have saved. I'm wanting to swap two of my pet names. Is there an easier way to do this if you own both, or will I just have to buy the CSC for two renames?

I not think you can swap your pet's names.

You will have to buy the four renames, yes. There is no other way.

There's no other way to switch pet names.. Maybe just changing the pet species and colour will be cheaper? But that wouldn't quite work if you've fed each pet certain foods or something for their profiles.

Actually, you'll only need to buy three renames. The first rename will be a "throw away" rename just to make the first pets name available for the second pet. Once you've renamed the second pet with the first pet's name the second pets name will be available to the first... so, only three renames.

That wouldn't work, sadly. There's a name I don't want anymore, but it's the pet I've worked hardest on (like his stats and all the food I fed him for the Gourmand achievement). I really don't want to throw all that work away. ):
