This super sweet young ( hardly a year old at the oldest ) unaltered brindle pit followed me home, I have had no luck with the Humane Society and they're not even taking in strays at this point ( even though theres plenty of room. ) and then the shelter is high-kill. I cannot keep him as much as I want to and I've posted on craigslist and facebook - as impossible as this sounds I need to have him rehomed by tonight at the latest >.<

Halp?

Have you tried finding a no-kill shelter? The ones in my area generally ask for a small donation to take the animal but you don't have to worry about them putting the animal down because it's considered an 'aggressive' breed and there is comfort in knowing that said puppy may be adopted out soon or live out her life happily in the shelter. But from what I gather she's a sweet animal who'll get a home, no problem.

There isn't one in my area or close enough unfortunately or I would take him to one, knowing he'd have a better chance finding a safe home.

Erm, well, do you have any friends or family who could take him for a few days? I know you've posted on FB and Craigslist, but there has to be someone who can put him up for a few days.

My neighbor is keeping him for as long as she can, but I know she can't keep him long. she had two of her own as well.

You could also try putting up flyers in the area you originally found him. If it looks like a very healthy, well fed animal, he probably belongs to someone who may or may not have access to internet.

I found the dog a home today!!! If I could have taken a picture of the family who adopted him, should have seen the look on his daughters' face ( single dad, two kids ) Her face lit up like the fourth of July it was just a heart-warming experience.
