Okay, so I think I know the spotlight specifications decently well (despite remaining baffled for 80% of my pets), but this seems like a bit of a gray area.
Here's the pet, Fragmented. Her story's pretty much this: She's an young orphan that was left behind by war, and managed to survive by sticking with her best friend. However, she was captured by slave traders and was injured a lot during this ownership -- she lost her arms, both her eyes, and a lot of her teeth. Of course, she gets a happy ending of sorts by being rescued off the slaver's block, and being rehabilitated in a high-tech lab that specializes in creating weapons against the biggest threat of the age.
Now, let me ask -- is that too "much" for the pet spotlight? None of the abuse is explained in detail whatsoever, and is mentioned more or less in passing: her journal-style story follows her arrival at Lab 08 and her reconstruction + rehabilitation.
It's more or less brought up as an explanation for her state and background, but isn't focused on all that much. I'd dare say her story's a bit uplifting if you can get past the "human experimentation" aspect, since she regains a lot of her upbeat personality over time and gets a lot of self-confidence. But, all the same, I'm not really sure.
Opinions? This is pretty much a pivotal fact of her story and character, and I wouldn't be able to remove it because that'd pretty much ruin her whole backstory, but I'd like to know if it'd be permissible regarding the Spotlight.
IF you got the story wrote up, you can file a ticket and have a mod read it to see if it is Spotlight Eligible. it's not so much the idea of a story or the outline... but the actual content that is wrote that can hinder or pass.
I filed a ticket with Khayn's story. It isn't graphic, but it isn't a spot light eligible either.

Oh, all right. I've asked this in the past, but they'd always tell me that it wasn't someone's job to read stories, just to have them adhere to rules.. mh. Thank you anyways, though, I appreciate the input.
Really? Well now I am confused. I guess as long as it isn't graphic you can put it in the Spotlight cue and see if it gets kicked? Sorry I wasn't so helpful.

Yeah, I've made tickets about pet stories and asked if they were too graphic or not (re: my vicious people-eating little vampire), but I've always gotten the response "this isn't really our job"??? It's really confusing.
I suppose I'll see, though. I've the habit of having my pets get kicked out for reasons of which I have no idea, and nobody else tends to have any idea either, so.. we'll see. It's not really a graphic story at all, I was just concerned about the passing mention of a young girl not having any arms, eyes, or most of her teeth, because of past abuse. ,':I I'm not sure if it's too touchy a subject in passing for Subeta? /shrug
