I just had one of those moments where I realize I have "no" friends. Which is to say I know many people but very few of them seem dependable/like me/ever want to hang out. I am feeling in a funk and just all sorts of depressed, maybe because I finally have a few days off work and all that does is give me time to think and realize these things?

I don't know how people keep making new friends. I feel like I only ever know the same people and almost all of them are flakes. I used to be more shy/introverted but as I aged this sort of shook off but my lack of friends didn't change. Does anyone else have this issue? It's pretty hard to make friends when you work alone (I am a nanny) and don't take any classes.

I like to think I'm fun and enjoyable to be around but maybe I'm not and the people I know aren't flakes but I just really suck?

I actually really want to throw a "Mario Party Party." I absolutely love to host parties. I love to supply adorable little party sized bites of food that are themed and make new drinks. It would be so fun (at least I think) to get together and play lots of Mario Party games and just enjoy cute snacks and drinks.

I have been -for a long, long time- thinking of hosting a craft party. Setting up laptops or printed up photos or such and having everyone bring over supplies and projects and working on crafts as we all hang out. My friends (read first paragraph) are all pretty crafty people who I think would really enjoy this idea.

Keep in mind we all are a little older, either in college or the working field. So, I understand everyone is busy and doesn't always have money but I personally always try to make time for others' events, and when I plan I always make sure to say "what time is good for everyone?" so there is no "I'm busy" excuse.

Another thing is.. I drive! I mean, I drive us. I don't mind, honestly. I can afford my gas, I don't ever mind taking my car and spending my gas. So, even if it's somewhere far, it's no big deal. I don't mind picking them up and dropping them off. And I like to go places so this works out! I like to bowl (extreme bowling!) I like mini golf (glow in the dark hoot) or just go out and have a coffee or see a band play or ANYTHING. I'm flexible, I like a lot of stuff, I know a lot of stuff. yet.. No one ever wants to go. ;A;

I guess I just wanted to rant a little. ;A; I wish people on the internet could come hang out with me. I bet some of you would come to my party. ;A; Free food, at least, right? EDIT: Lol I wish there was a website to meet friends in your area. Sounds like one of those dirty pop ups "nikki, age 18, wants to meet you today!" :')

I know what you mean though. All of my friends left to go to university in places across the country. I have only a couple friends in this town and most of them are trying to move away too. It sucks. I go to a school full of girls so I don't meet guys there - and none of the girls want to hang with me anyways. Also I work in a women's clothing store. So I'm fucked there too.

I like being alone but sometimes I miss having people to hang with on my days off.

gosh sounds a lot like me, except for hosting parties - I'd be horrible at that.

enroll into a community college and take group discussion or something similar to that, I wanted to do group discussion but classes were all full, so I took another class that is socially involved :3 loving it so far.

and I totally know what you mean about driving, seems like the only time someone wants to hang out with me is if they need a ride somewhere :T, just make sure they're not taking advantage of it

It's because I love to make hors d'oeuvres. Lol. I make the cutest/yummiest little party sized foods. I don't know why but i just love it!

I didn't mean it like that. :') The truth is, they don't bother me about it. It's just that when I suggest going somewhere and I know its far, I usually offer to drive. That's all I meant. Just pointing out that I'm being convenient/polite so I can't understand why people say no.

I sent up my Mario Party thing. If it falls through then.. Well.. Hey! At least I tried.

I think the idea of setting up a regular "just hang out" party and asking my friends to invite people they are close to/think I would like/know are good people and not jerks would be a good idea. Then I could meet new people and since we'd have someone in common there it might be easier, plus I'd be the host and the cook and it might help break tension. However I'm terrible at "for no reason" parties. x'3 Maybe some kind of film party but then we're all supposed to not talk, lol.

I'm already in debt from going to college. :') I just don't want to waste money taking a class just to make friends. I can't see spending the money on it when it could go to so many other things.

I really am, too. Mario Party games and all. ;v; I've become to excited so fast. I'm already getting a menu going. Profiteroles, stuffed mushrooms (get it? Lol,) and star lollipops. Since they're yellow I think I might do a matching flavor but.. I dislike yellow flavors in candy (banana, lemon.) xD I'm trying to do a dice related item for the menu. Seems so perfect. I want to make some Mario mustache things but they'd have to be sweets and I don't want too many of those at the party. :'D

I think I might pull out one of my big cake boards and use pepperonis and something blue to make a little Mario Party board and set all the food on and around that. I'd have to do it like one of the real boards and make little banks and etc. to place all over. Carve 'em outta food and junk.
