it would be better if you didn't need to take money out of the vault just to buy stuff.
There are some Random Events that take money from your "on hand" SP, which is why the vault is helpful. You don't want most of your SP stolen.
Plus, money in your vault gains interest!
although that is true, i think someone should agree it's annoying when you are doing a quest and go to shop search and find you have to pull out sP then go back onto shop search all over again.
You could just make a note somewhere to make sure you pull some sP out before you do your quests. :) That way you don't run out, and the rest of it stays safe in your vault.
true, you can pull out your spending limit and quit the quest if the price is over.
I used to keep 200k on hand at all times, enough for a SubQ item if I catch something I need in a restock, and enough to work with for quests or anything that I need to buy. Now I keep an even number of millions in my vault so I don't really have that problem, but if you just keep x amount out at all times you don't have that problem where you could run out while doing quests. And with something like 200k, even if you do get hit with a tax RE it doesn't take all that much from you.
If it's that bothersome just don't use the vault. But I find for questing 50k on hand is a good start. I tend to do maleria and cursed quests and come away with profits and then take that to shop or other quests. I then vault anything above 50k the next day when I start over.
FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.
Thanks for the suggestions. I also found if you are on a quest and realize you don't have enough money, you can pull it out of your vault on another tab and it will show up on your other tab.
