are there any site events that happen during the summer?

if there are, what and when?

I heard from the short Keith asks this past week that they are not doing any summer events this year and sre focusing on working and improving the site. Sorry :(

I believe the next event is pirate day (forgot the name) where the pirate shop in omen islands is open. I believe it's in September.

Hope somebody else comes along, because I can be wrong.

there are no regularly scheduled events that take place in summer. ): summer on subeta is kinda boring.

I was also curious about this. It's weird that summer doesn't have anything here since I would think that this is the time of the year when a lot of people can be on subeta

I believe in the past the summer has been used for reading drives and restocking wars, but since those can take a toll on the subeta economy, they're not really being done anymore. :c

Wow, this thread was a total letdown for me. Summers are usually pretty slow on here but if it is indeed true that the next event on here is going to be Pirate's Day (which is in September!)....I think I will be taking a hiatus from Subeta this Summer. It is just too boring to only have quests (which I never do) or commission people to make CWs (and the cash is running out for that anyway).

I don't even remember when the last restock war was, all I know is it was ENTERTAINING. It may affect the economy on here a bit but at least it's something to DO :( Same with the Reading Drive.

It's not worth it for me to just come on here and dress my HA. That only takes about half an hour MAX. I can only play (cyber) paper dolls for so long without becoming immensely bored with it :/

I guess there's only the Summer CS Giveaway this summer, that's it. :(

So what is the next event?

~ The next event is in September when The Freyalise Trading Company is open. Afterwards is Alegarten, Fireside, and Morostide. Those three all take place in mid to late September and October.

~ I am okay with no big event this Summer b/c I would rather have the site run smoothly and more efficiently. Once Fireside and Morostide come around, there is going to be a huge spike in activity and site traffic. I would rather have a smoothly running site, than a site that breaks when the volume of users get into the thousands. It get old to see users complain about how much a site breaks when they have no idea how much work actually goes into maintaining it for their amusement.

- I totally agree with you. As far as people stating that no events take place in summer, that is untrue. Having been on this site for a few years I distinctly remember when there were Reading Drives, ReStock Wars, the War between the Islanders and Pirates and last summer there was the Blake Steele event which was quite awesome. I personally think to let the summer go by with no events is rather stupid - and by the way, it is only Summer in the Northern Hemisphere - people in the Southern Hemisphere are experiencing Winter and are not enjoying the warm weather so are stuck indoors with their computers mroe than we are and a good number of subeta players line in those places. As for a Hiatus - definitely if nothing is going to happen on here. There are plenty of other sites to enjoy. As far as the Fall events last year, they were disappointing if anything in comparison to previous years.

Wait, no more reading drive? Ever? Guess I'm never getting that hunger pendant.
