my pet just recieved 1 alchemy point.... i like to know where or how can i see how many he has already... since i didnt noticed it before...

- if you go to personal > pets. Then click on the little arrow next to the pet to bring up the dropdown list...click spells - it will tell you there how many APs you have :)

how do i learn spells?

- you get 1 AP for 16 books read, I believe. You can either create spells (here) or buy them from user shops, as long as you have enough AP to use the spell.

- it will help your pet in battling, along with the weapons you have equipped. Scrolls are definitely a benefit, so keep reading books to your pet ;)
