Okay, so maybe I'm just being a bit blind, but this is the page I see when I go to make my Steamwork Pet:

But I want to build my pet, not change an existing one. If I just hit 'Create Steamwork Pet', will it give me the option to name a new pet or would it change MasterJester?

I just didn't want to rush in and end up messing things up owo;

[edit]Should also add that I really wanted the 'built' date and gear symbol on my pet, which is why I haven't just created the pet on its own and turned it Steamwork that way yet XD

It would change MasterJester. You would need to create the pet and select the desired pet to be changed BEFORE using the schematic.

It would have the creation date of the pet, but not the built date and not the gear gender. The gear gender is really only for genderless pets and SW pets have genders.

I've never created a Steamworks pet before... and this may be a really silly question, but do you have an open pet slot at the moment?

Yeah, because of the recent update I have two spare slots.

I thought that about the gender thing too but assumed I must have been wrong XD I often am.

I thought it would have given you the option to build a pet if you have two slots open, Maybe its a glitch? :/

My GA was activated before I headed to the page XD But I'll try again, one second...

I have recently pokes Rhodium I had an open pet slot and there was a box to type in the name of a new pet to 'build'. 3 days later, and poof.

If you are 100% sure you have a free pet slot (check your preferences page) and you don't have that box, then I would file a ticket...
