I want to try and make some artsy-craftsy type things to sell for some extra spending money, but I have next to NO start up money.

I have a little clay right now, a few 'foam craft sheets', glue, a bit of glitter, and some various kinds of fabric and some embroidery thread.

What sort of things could I make using these things that you might buy?

If you're even vaugely handy with scissors and thread, sounds like you can make a dandy little ragdoll - it's how I usually pass the time between crafting sprees when I'm low on dough. C:

I'll have to look up how to do that XD.

I also had a bit of 'yarn' type stuff, and made a simple doll thing. VERY easy to make. Year before last I made some into angels to put on the Christmas tree

xD it's not too hard! mine are usually pretty haphazard, but they're 'rusticly charming' /cough just sketch out a pattern on paper, cut, cut the fabric. Sew without closing it all up, flip inside out, stuff from the top of the head and finish the unstitched section. voila! add clothes, button eyes, and yarn/more fabric for hair as desired.

cotton balls, sawdust, beans, and rice work well. XD professional stuffing {like in a teddy bear or something} isn't super necessary when it comes to radolls.

Never thought about using rice!

I could make small ones and use rice...I have a pattern for a beanbag/beanie baby type thing that I can use that for ^^

I get so many of my craft supplies at garage/yard sales it's crazy - and I have a whole craft room. Most of the time I can find brand new or gently used materials/tools for less than a dollar. You'd probably have to wait until it starts getting warmer, but keep an eye out! Some people like starting early!

You can also make your own beads out of clay, fabric, thread, even paper or old magazines.

Hmmm...I thought about making my own beads. Wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

And when i was younger, I used to make my own beads out of paper, glue, and a toothpick. :D

I still loves those kinds of beads! lol There's just something very fun and amusing about them. :D

I got curious and started searching for different fabric beads, I think these ones might be interesting...

If you have a little money to spend I'd recommend hitting up a local thrift/secondhand store! You'd be super surprised what kind of goodies you can find there for a couple dollars or less. I've made a lot of projects with upcycled things from the Salvation army. I've found necklaces that I've taken apart, unfinished wooden boxes I've painted, a few times I got lucky and found bolts of fabric and bags of lace/ribbon/trim for next to nothing.

But with the things you have now I'd say maybe trying to make things like cell phone sleeves or simple handbags, depending on how much of it you have.

There's a 'bag sale day' at one of the local thrift stores, but the problem is getting there on that day, and having the money for the bag
