So I've noticed over the past few weeks, it's gotten ungodly cold where I live, and my school has the heating on all the time. However that has the unfortunate side effect of dry air, which is really making my nose hurt and sometimes bleed...it doesn't help that the tech lab's air is stale and full of dust either. Is there anything I can do for myself that makes this better?

Get a humidifier, and stick some vasaline in your nose. Only thing that works for me anyway.

I get nosebleeds almost everyday in February. :P I used to have them all the time when I was younger, but now it's mostly because of the cold dry winter air. I find that all kinds of nasal sprays / nose drops just make it worse for me, but vaseline helps a bit.

I agree on the vaseline front. And the humidifier. It won't help much while you're not there, but keeping your home a bit more moist will help your nose a little in the long run.
