I swear over christmas break half of my friends converted to iphone 5s(or c) which made me SUPER envious. I've been stuck w/ a shitty straighttalk smart(I use this term so loosely it might fall off)phone and a 2nd gen ipod touch forever so tonight I finally took the dive for an iphone 5c!

I ordered it online for the penny deal @ us cellular(reason I didn't get a 5s unfortunately) and I'm actually very excited for it come n-n i'm kinda not looking forward to making $100 monthly plan payments on this piece of plastic but it's also going to be sooo nice and convenient for my life.

so anyone else a late bloomer or upgrade to iphone 5 recently?? do you love your iphone?? also y'all apple nerds needa hook me up w/ some cute(& affordable) iphone accessories

I've had an iphone for almost three years now, and I LOVE it. I usually buy my cases/accessories off amazon or ebay. just watch the shipping costs though.

hopefully you'll enjoy yours as much as I do!

I love my macbook, ipad, and ipod, but right now have some kind of android. It's on its last legs I think, I'm not sure when I upgrade if I'll go to the newer android or to an iphone. This one's been pretty good to me, but I've heard lots of good about the iphone too and the new ones are so prettyyyyy. Plus then all my gadgets would match. But I feel like I've seen more people complain about flakiness re: iphones than androids? But that could just be a statistical thing because more people I know have iphones. So yeah I dunno, but <3 apple

Most of the stuff I own is apple

macbook pro macbook air( given to my dad) ipad ipod( though mine's pretty old.. I got it in 2005 as a birthday present and never though to update it because the touch never really appealed to me.)

I don't however have an iPhone, though both my brother and mother both own one. Well, my brother did, he bought an iPhone 4S on glyde but it was locked to carrier so he ended up selling it and now uses a standard dumb phone. He gave our mother his old iPhone 4. I've pretty much using android for most of my phone needs simply because the cell phones are more prolific and just cheaper in general than buying an iPhone. Plus, in some cases I prefer the bigger screen though I've been thinking of whether or not I should update my sII to either an iPhone 5 or an sIII recently.

I have an iTouch 4, I can't afford the plans for iPhones or even a new iTouch really. Not on minimum wage.

I have a tracfone, lol. I can't afford much of anything, and actually I think I even qualify for the govt free phone thing, but my parents pay for this one. I would love to have a 'real' phone, but money's awful right now.

aw you guys I feel you on the cost, it really does suck :( I definitely won't be living in luxury thanks to this phone lol.

I know exactly what you're talking about haha. but yea it seems like everyone and their grandmother owns am iPhone so idk. samsung galaxy 4 was actually my other choice I was considering but I already have so many apple accessories that I figure I might as well just stick with apple.

My mom has a tracphone! she's super stingy when it comes to technology but i don't really blame her, a lot of phone plans are dang expensive :p

They really are everywhere, haha. I think I'll probably go with an iphone next, that way I can decide which was overall better and stick to that brand for future phones c:

I just joined the ranks as well! Bought myself the iPhone 5c less than a week ago.

Still learning the ropes of it, but overall I like it so far.

I would definitely recommend the Iphone over any other type of phone. I think it's far easier to navigate and so many of the apps are more geared towards Apple users. You'll definitely love your new phone. Congrats!

yay, congrats!! what's your favorite aspect of it so far? I'm actually super excited to try all the new apps I haven't been able to use since my stupid 2nd gen ipod doesn't support anything anymore boo :(

thank you! yeah, I was considering a galaxy 4 but after some thought it seemed more natural to me to get an iphone. i'm stupid and don't know how to correctly mess w/ the deep shit in my phone so I think I just need something simple and easy to use haha

Those galaxy phones are far too confusing. Well, I didn't give them quite a chance, but from first glance, I was not entranced by their larger-than-a-phone's-surface-should-be screen and weird placement of apps. I'm sure you'll enjoy your new phone.

Favorite aspect so far? How easy it is to use! I figured I'd be messing around with it trying to figure this or that out, but everything's right there in plain sight. Easy to navigate through the menus and what not. I like that in a phone because I'm not too intelligent when it comes to electronics.

I'm absolutely blown away by the app store..I could fill my phone up with so many useful apps but trying my hardest to only download the ones I really need.

I have a smart phone that runs on Windows 7. I love it, but hate it at the same time. My phone company (that's where I bought my phone, outright) doesn't sell accessories for it (wtf, right!?). I have to order phone cases online, but I pay next to nothing for them. The only thing I hate about it, is the 4MG of internet usage. I'm now on a monthly plan (I still have to buy the net) and my pass expires after I go on FB. It's so annoying.

Bottom line... I'd loooooove a new phone, but I cant afford to buy a I-Phone outright (I live in Ontario and it's $800-$900 for that kind of phone) and I certainly cant afford a $100 two year contact just so I can get an I-Phone.

@ Engrave idk if this helps any, but I actually in the end decided against buying a phone through a carrier w/ a monthly plan and instead bought one for full retail price with a prepaid plan. so, instead of paying like one penny for the phone and $100 a month forever, I bought the phone with financing so I pay $50 a month for a year for that, and then $50 for a prepaid plan a month forever. it's way cheaper! plus I'm not locked to a carrier now and can switch or turn off my plan whenever I want. I realize that's still very expensive, but if you ever get to the point of really wanting an iphone it might be something to look into :)

edit: I should mention this was through amazon btw. if you buy $600 worth of merchandise with their store card you can do 12 month financing with no interest during those 12 months as long as you pay it off. no idea how this works or if it's the same in canada, tho
