I am taking an art and visualization course, and I need to do an exercise with 3-5 other people. I have to show them an image, then listen to what they see and why they think the way they do. Unfortunately, I don't have anyone to talk to in real life right now, so this is where you come in.
All I need is for you to look at the following image for 60-90 seconds, then answer some questions about it. Since this has to be a dialogue, I will probably ping you and ask you more questions after you answer the first one.

There's a man standing still in the middle of a tree-lined dirt avenue, in the countryside. It looks to be winter, due to the lack of leaves.

What is your gender? Female
What is your age or age range? (13-18, 19-25, 25-50, 30+) 13-18
Where are you from? California, United States (Don't want to give out the city publicly, but if you want to know you can message me.)
Questions about the art:
Thanks for your responses! Here are a few follow-up questions I thought up. Does this image convey and sort of feelings to you? What was the first thing you thought of when you saw it? Do you think there is a deeper meaning to the image at all? Do you think this image is meant to persuade anyone?
Does this image convey and sort of feelings to you? What was the first thing you thought of when you saw it? The first thing I thought was that it looked like a lovely place to take a walk. It conveys a certain feeling of solitude and pensiveness to me because the man looks like he is lost in thought.
Do you think there is a deeper meaning to the image at all? Posssibly. Artists always have some sort of meaning behind their work even if it's subconscious. I have no idea what the meaning for this drawing in particular would be though. Perhaps it was a place the artist used to go in his/her past or something.
Do you think this image is meant to persuade anyone? I don't think so. I'm not really sure how it could be because it seems so simple and straightforward.
No problem :) Does this image convey and sort of feelings to you? Loneliness since he's by himself What was the first thing you thought of when you saw it? Winter. Do you think there is a deeper meaning to the image at all? Possibly. Do you think this image is meant to persuade anyone? No.
Does this image convey and sort of feelings to you? What was the first thing you thought of when you saw it? It seems very desolate, due to the barrenest of the landscape and the man being alone and just standing rather than walking. It has a cold and empty feel to it. The monotone colour and simple cross-hatch art-style probably contribute to this.
Do you think there is a deeper meaning to the image at all? Perhaps if there was background information provided by the artist. Alone as an image, it's too a open-ended to assign a specific deeper meaning.
Do you think this image is meant to persuade anyone? No, it doesn't seem to have a clear message that it is communicating.
Thanks, btw :)

Questions about the art:
I see a man standing amongst trees on a dirt path. He seems to be sad from the way his head is bowed slightly and it looks like he's looking at something, maybe his shadow? The trees are bare and stark which might resemble his apparent mood in the picture; lonely, desolate, cold. It seems as though there's something missing, like a companion (person or animal) that maybe he once took there in happier days, when the trees had leaves and it was warmer.
(My imagination is very vivid, whoops.)
1. What is your gender? Female 2. What is your age or age range? (13-18, 19-25, 25-50, 30+) 27 3. Where are you from? (Can give country or city. Whatever you are most comfortable with) Seattle area

edit: added: Does this image convey and sort of feelings to you? What was the first thing you thought of when you saw it? It's a little mysterious, a tiny bit creepy. It was creepier at first (that was my first impression) but now mostly it just seems sort of quiet and melancholy. I think it was creepy because the guy is just the right distance away where you can't see his face yet, but he's not far away anymore. Do you think there is a deeper meaning to the image at all? Deeper than my first impression? Possibly. My first impression was not deep, hahaha. But it doesn't seem to have any hidden meanings. Do you think this image is meant to persuade anyone? It doesn't seem to be persuasive by itself. It would have to have some context, or a story or something to go with it.
I don't think you need any more people but I'm bored and don't want to go to bed?
