You know I love you girl. snugs Your stuff is good for sure. I'd price it up to the 12-15 mil for a single, tack on maybe 5mil more for a couple? Depending on what you're comfortable with. Quad, prolly 8mil? ish? Extra for bg of course.

That looks A LOT like the stuff is drawing. xD You are good, no doubt, but may i ask how come your anthros look exactly the same? (also if nobody will ever reach her coloration skills..xD)

However, i'd go for her suggested prizes.

The char sheets are done using my croquis that I made. She asked. As far as her having a similar style, she's not copying me, tho she did study off of me when she was learning to draw back in the day(like 10 years ago). She owns her style tho and doesn't really ref me any more. Nothing wrong with having similar styles anyways (anime anyone?). xD But yeah. lol.

Yeah... pretty much what she said. When I was first getting serious about drawing (we're talking about almost 10 years ago) I used her art a lot as reference. Naturally my style has evolved around that, but I don't feel like my style is 'exactly' like hers. -shrug- To each their own I suppose. Thanks for the feedback.

LoL, this wasn't meant in a negativ way. I was just looking at the heads of the anthros and was like "What.. is this just copy and paste?" cause its completely the same. Like.. 100% ;) But hey, i love your art/style, so its nice to see a second artist who could be bothered by me for some pieces. ^^

Edit: Obviously its not copied, otherwise odduckOasis would have said something, i'm completely aware of this. ;) I was surprised that someone is able to do the same, cause i think its rather difficult to draw that way and thats why i asked.

lol. Well, no, it's not a copy paste because it's not 100%. I think she uses a couple of my poses several years ago, but the faces are not the same at all. I mean, yes, the style is similar, but they're not 'copy and paste' at all. I know you're not meant to be saying it negatively, but accusing her of tracing or stealing isn't very nice, esp since she is my friend and I've seen her work from scratch. She doesn't copy my stuff, she just has a similar style. You might want to try to not insult her if you want to commission her.

Well, like i explained in my edit, i was not accusing her, i was wondering how someone is able to do the same. Since you "created" this style, you know if its the same and i guess i just have to believe you. I'm only a watcher and for me it could have been one of your chars. Not like "She is copying her pics"-the same, more like "She can draw in same style like oddduck"-the same. ^^

Its fascinating to see that two pics of completely different peeps without same refpics can be that similar in style. scratchhead You know what i mean? Even if i'm trying to take an other artist as reference i wouldn't be able to really redraw his style, but drawing something so similar without taking references is just.. fascinating. ^^ EDIT: Btw, this is and was a compliment, just in case this is going down the wrong way again. xD If i was accusing her for stealing i wouldn't suggest such prizes. ;)

Well... I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that when I was only just starting to draw, she was my influence and also my guide. She assisted me through my early years, giving me critiques, and helping me grow as an artist. We've been very close friends throughout this entire time (like I said, about 10 years now) so in a way we've both grown together as artists. I suppose it has resulted in similar styles... but as she mentioned before, I no longer use her pieces as references. Most of my drawings are without any reference at all.

Hm, well, I do understand what you're saying, considering you mean 'they have a similar style, how interesting...' but, it does have an undertone of accusation. You stated that you thought it was a copy-paste, that means you thought she stole it, see what I mean? I know I have a unique style, but a few people have emulated it, including my friend because she likes the style. I told you she use to study off my work many years ago. She has continued in the style because she likes the style, not because she's a clone.

This here is an accusing phrase. You are confused by the fact that someone can draw in a similar style. It happens all the time. People draw in a similar style to someone else. Many people take the 'Disney' look and emulate it. Disney was a person himself that was an artist. People also draw similar to many famous comic book artists. I myself studied off of Micheal Turner. Other people draw in the anime style- which is all similiar with the faces. So for you to say you don't think /you/ can't redraw a style doesn't mean another artist can't. Actually- it's the mark of a really true artist that can emulate a style well and still hold their own.

But yes, sorry, enough of the discussion as it has gotten off topic and I don't want to get in trouble. If you want to talk more about this, feel free to comment me. But in the end, I know you're trying to compliment, but... unfortunately, you're not doing a very good job as my friend is currently very irritated by what you've said. Take a moment to see how you've phrased it and it doesn't sound like you're complimenting her at all.

Yes, and thats what i find so fascinating. Its like throwing all refs away, drawing something completely freehanded and it turns out that similar and awesome. =3 (only for the anthro part, your quads and humans are completely different from her style)

However, i'd still say around 12-15mil for anthro without backround, depending on complexity. For quads i'd say around 7mil and that human pic on your examples is pretty kickass, for that i'd pay around 20-25mil, but thats maybe just me case i'm always searching for human art. xD

Thats what i mean, i've actually seen a lot of peeps trying to copy you, but it was always visible as "he is trying to copy her". I know people are always trying to draw in same style, but i've never seen two artists who are drawing their own chars without using same refs but still looking like the same. Its not about "copy" its about "having the same style". This anthros are more like ...siamese twin xD It don't look like someone tried to copy you, it looks like you both are two splitted personalities. xD Maybe i should stop talking now.. i kinda have the feeling its not getting better. xD

So.. basically you're saying that you like that she's got her own style but love it because it's similar to mine, but it stands on its own. You phrase things weird, but I get what you mean. No worries.

This and It was also about skills. If she is able to draw - out of my eyes - the same anthros, she needs the same skills on this categorie. If you just copy, you don't need and won't get the same skills, but its like.. one skill, two persons. And this is awesome, isn't it? (i am weird, i'm sorry, i will be quit from now on. xD)
