Does the Recycle Beast has a list of certain items he asks for? Or are totally totally random? maybe a range of rarity?

They're done at random, but when you visit his page he'll tell you the items he's looking for on that day in particular.

yeah i know that. i was just wondering if there's like a 500~ item pool where the items are selected or is it totally random, of course i assume that the "special" rarities aren't asked for

I don't think so, I've never heard of a pool of items in my 5+ years here. They're just typically common/cheap items. The rarities vary a little though, given the Random Balloon from today has a special rarity.

i see... so i can assume too that the higher rarities are off the table too..

it's been awhile since I've recycled, but I've seen quite high rarities asked for and special items do get asked for too. He used to reliably ask each day for at least one item gotten from Random, dunno if he still does that
