My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 10 months now (on the 19th of March) and I want to do something fun for our anniversary. Thing is, I have no clue what we could do. We're both into music and guitar, and we both enjoy things that make us laugh. Thing is, we can't go to any concerts for bands we like because we both don't have the money, and all the bands we like, his mom would never let him see in concert. And I don't really want to go to the movies because, well, that's too simple.

Tl;dr Need help with ideas for my 10 month anniversary. Ping with replies, please!

I can't really think of anything offhand for the big event, BUT! I can tell you one thing: Breakfast! Sometimes when my boyfriend and I wake up and make a production of breakfast on anniversaries, it makes the entire day seem more special because from the start we were just having fun and making the day something different. Tye-dye pancakes are my favorite. It's like an activity and edible art. You drop normal pancake batter into the skillet and while it is runny and wet drop directly in drops of food colors and swirl with toothpicks. Swirl a lot. Flip and finish cooking. Funfunfun. Just an idea. :p

First thing I thought of was to write a special song together.

What about a picnic? You may not be the 'lovey dovey' type, but with a picnic you can make it what/how you want it. Take a long your mp3's or whatever and just chill together.

[edit] May not sound 'fun', but fun comes about by the people who want to make it! :)

Or you guys could take a music lesson or something with an instrument neither of you have ever played before. Or look around in your city's newspaper. Sometimes they hold free outdoor concerts. You could also go to a local school's play(or something similar. My school had comedy sports, plays, etc and if you were bored they were usually funny) for only 5 or 6 bucks

Thank you all for your ideas. I lovee all of them. =) There's just a small problem though. Since we both can't drive--as I am 15 and he's 14--we can't really go anywhere without at least one parent. ^^; I would looove to do the breakfast thing, but we don't live together, so that'd be kinda hard to do. The song idea is one thing we've both been thinking about doing, but never actually done it, so I might look into that. I'd definitely love to do the picnic thing too, but again, there's the whole parents and driving issue. I think I might look at our local performing arts center and see if there's a funny play or something we could go see, and that my mom would like (cuz she'd have to go with).

Awww, I remember not being able to drive. Luckily you only have one more year until your license. :)

Haha, yup. Same for him too. He'll be 15 in June, so he has the same amount of time left lol. But, my mom probably won't let me get my license. She doesn't want me to drive cuz the people in this city are stupid and drive like maniacs.
