o////o
So I've been with my bf since I was 15 years old. I'm wondering what I should do for our fifth year anniversary! Last year we had a zoo, movie & picnic. I want something particularly special. Any ideas would be much appreciated!
Our anniversary is on the 10th of November. I just can't think of something UBER special...
Woot, five years? Since the age of fifteen? Respect, lady, that's mighty fine. :) I can't think of something UBER special, either, I wanted to give my congrats. Say, does he do something for your anniversaries, too?
He definitely does! Generally he musters up the man courage to recite a poem he's written for me. Which is really my niche of things. Usually he takes me to dinner as well. One year I bought us some matching rings that were custom made by a metal-worker in Bend, Oregon. This year, unfortunately, I am short on funds. I just don't want the same ol' thing. Maybe I could paint him something, but I do that every year. x)
And thank you for the respects! I really appreciate it.
Oh, that's really nice of him! (And romantic.) Hmmmm, and what about a song or so? Can you sing and/or play an instrument? Maybe you could play a piece he really likes or you could make one by yourself :)
Check out pinterest.com Lots of awesome gift ideas that you can usually make from home or with very cheap supplies that you buy at the grocery store. All kinds of neat artsy craftsy stuff, and even if you don't borrow one of their creations, it's great for inspiration too! I go there to get ideas for all my gifts, that and Etsy.
I'd love to give you even more ideas - if I just had some! I started thinking about what I made for our anniversaries, and for our last anniversary I made a medley piano piece compiled from divers game music tracks, invited him over and played it for him, so I thought you could do a similar thing. Wish you luck with the stage fright thing though! I was so nervous while playing and afterwards too that he took me, made me sit on his lap for about ten minutes and continuously told me how wonderful it was and how sorry he was for me that the piece was so long so I had to stand the nervousness so long xD but it was a great feeling, indeed, to have made a song all on my own - for my love. :)
