i'm really afraid of ever getting a license. i can't walk alone because i'm really absent minded and wander into the road a lot. so my boyfriend has to put me on the other side of him and hold my hand. i'm worried that this will effect my driving, lmfao. so i never tried to get a permit, let alone my license so i walk/ride my bike everywhere, but never alone because that's a hazard to myself and others, and give some gas money or cigarettes to let other people drive me longer distances. am i alone on this or does anybody else not drive because they know it would be instant death?

I have a sleep condition in which I sleep too much (12-14 hours a night) and am always drowsy (also on meds for it) so driving for me is also a no-go. I just catch the bus instead, I'm lucky the service is good around where I live. :P So you're not alone haha. Besides, having a car so super expensive (tax, insurance, petrol, new stuff if the tires wear out or it needs new oil or whatever, ect ect ect).

Hmm, I don't drive mainly because I don't have a car. Otherwise, I love taking the bus. I know people rarely say this, but if it is clean a drunkard-free, then it is very pleasant for me. It's when I can just sit there, relax and let the driver take me to work or wherever I need to go. Plus, I'm practically never late when I ride the bus, except when I miss it. Then there is a problem.

I know other people that don't have their license. Actually, I know lots of people that don't, and I'm sure a few of them feel the same way as you. I think that if you were to really try and concentrate and want it, you could do it c: And if not, then it isn't then end of the world. People get around other ways.

I'm a rather absent-minded person but I still would like to get my driver's license. Though I do have a concern with my eyesight... I think it's getting worse :c

I was afraid to get my license for years. I got my permit when I was 18 but I didn't get my license until recently (I'm now 21). It took me a long time to even get comfortable with the idea of driving and I'm still not 100% but I'm a pretty good driver I guess. Don't have a car tho, and I commute to school, etc, by bus. I actually like riding the bus and I'd rather do that than try to deal with traffic in the mornings anyway.

I think it's natural to be afraid of driving, tbh. Especially if you have a specific reason like you do.

i adore driving, it's extremely calming to me. driving was never a big deal, i was never dying to go get my license. when i turned 18 my grandma basically made me get my license and i passed the test my first try :p

driving alone in the middle of nowhere, past cows, rows of corn, trees with just some music and your wandering thoughts. AAAHHHH it is so relaxing. the only trouble i have is when i let my mind wander like that, i usually miss my turn. the only thing that scares me is high way driving. driving is relaxing for me so people going by at high speeds, switching lanes and honking horns @ ____ @ oi.

I'm a good driver but I'm a horrible passenger. Just ask my husband, omfg. I freak out at every little thing. I've had my license since I was 16 though.

It's not uncommon for people to be scared when they first start out though.

I've had my permit for almost 2 years, and I hate driving. I should have gotten my license about a year ago, but I really don't feel comfortable enough. It makes me so anxious to drive, and I'm always scared I'm going to hurt somebody.

Oooh I know what you mean. I'm so clumsy I'm afraid I'll run over someone on my first try. I don't have a license either, but I got gifted a car from my awesome parents 3 days ago. They keep pulling me into getting a license so they gave me the car as an incentive. ... I haven't even stepped inside it. I still don't feel as that shiny little car is mine. And I don't feel safe to drive! :s

Driving at first for me was sooo stressful! I hated being alone and wanted to like talk or something to fill the empty space. But I have to drive like an hr every day, so it quickly became really comforting and a place to get away from everything. Now, I adore it! I have had my license for... three months. lol! im 16.
