Do you mean make the input box bigger? Like where you type the codes/words when you're making a post?
If that's what you mean, then I could see the use of it, as long as it's not too difficult for the programmers and the end result isn't obnoxiously large either.
yes, isn't that what i said? ooh, i misspelled it. you coulda just said i spelled it wrong xD
I use Google Chrome, which puts little handles in the corner of all input spaces so you can drag them as big as you want :) Works great for coding.
i think it's chrome that allows you to adjust the text input area size wherever you like, but i found this addon for firefox that could do the same.
i don't really want the box size to change. i understand where you're coming from and i feel like this is a totally valid suggestion, but i think too much bigger and the text box would just look ridiculous.
more posts on this site don't cause the scrollbar to appear than do.
Usually when I'm messing with code, I'll copy it all to a notepad file and work with it there. Makes things a lot easier to see. :)
Really? I had no idea Chrome did that. I'll have to consider that if I ever think about really working with coding again... Maybe I need to seriously give Chrome a try one of these days...
That said, making the boxes a little bigger isn't really that bad of a suggestion. I just doubt it'll be done, because of the reasons stated, and because of the... very niche use it would have. Most of the places where you're seriously working on code already have expanded boxes anyway (though, there are some exceptions).
aahaha, all these suggestions are perfect xD just what i was looking for, quick easy fix :3
Won't make me switch to Chrome, but that's a cool feature. :D
It was a little vague for me (which I realize is because it's kind of hard to describe the box thingy), so I was repeating it to make sure I understood what I thought you were saying. I didn't mean to come across as condescending or anything.
Though has a point. Now that I think about it, I do typically put things in Notepad first - especially since Subeta has this odd habit of refreshing the page if I spend too long on it - if I'm making a long or coding intensive post.
