Okay, last week I made a topic on how to make my font purple AND Verdana. Someone gave me this:
forumText
I thought it worked, but then I looked at my posts again, and my text is just purple. Not purple AND Verdana. Will someone please give me the code for my text to be purple AND Verdana? Thank you.
It works. I see your text as both purple and verdana. The fonts will only show up if the computer you are accessing Subeta from at the time has that font so that might be why.
[edit] Then again, I probably don't know my fonts. What font do you see your post as?
Oh wow, I saw this topic earlier but didn't reply as I had nothing helpful to say, but I don't see the Verdana font either. I never knew that was the reason some people could see fonts others use and some people can't - it makes sense. If you're right. :P
I see Verdana In fact, I'm pretty sure the default font for forum posts is Verdana, so even if you only specify a color, your posts will still show up as Verdana. o_O Do you have some browser setting or add-on that overrides style-defined fonts?
Don't forget that custom CSS plays a part too but I agree with Potter. It's pretty much the site default.
I see the default font. It used to work. I used to be able to see both the color and font on my computer, but then Subeta cleared my forumtext codes because it took up too many pixels. I tried to recreate the font that I had but it didn't work. I don't think Verdana is the default because I used to have Verdana as my font and it looked different from the default, but Subeta took it away from me. :(
Hmm, well first of all could you check/paste your custom CSS code located: here?
Suppose i typed this TextTextTextTextTextTextText
It'll look like this:
TextTextTextTextTextTextText
From my end, the code that was given to you is perfectly sound as using a similar coding method I am able to achieve various font is the correct colour.
Also on my end, the first two instances of "text" look exactly the same even though the first is default while the second is verdana. So I can conclude that my default forum text is set as verdana.
Another thing to note is that my last two instances of "text" look exactly the same while one is Times New and the other is "Ale and Wenches" Which, if you are interested is the font that appears in the webcomic Gunnerkrigg Court. Since I do not have the "Ale and Wenches" font installed on the device I am currently using, my computer seems to have defaulted it into Times New Roman.
Apologies for the wall of text. :c
are you sure, then, that Verdana is the name of the font you're looking for?
because this is what your post looks like to me:
and aside from the stuff in the code box, your post is in Verdana.
Well to me, your post looks different from mine...
It's possible that your browser is overriding Subeta's font preferences. Maybe try fiddling around in your browser's options to see if there's a default font option? Sometimes, you can get a browser to say "No, I don't want the font the website uses; I want all fonts everywhere to be _____." You may have it set to make everything Times New, or Arial, etc. The picture posted doesn't look like what I see either, though. Your font just looks purple to me xD
What is the default Subeta font? I feel like it might actually be Verdana, lol. EDIT: Just copy-pasted my own, non-font-changed text into a word document and yes, Subeta's default font is Verdana... for me, anyway.
Hmm. That's odd. Did Subeta change the default font or something? Because when I set my font to Verdana before, it looked different from the default...
Perhaps you're used to seeing it at a different size?
Like this!
This is what 12pt looks like.
10pt (this may be what you're used to seeing?)
11pt (could be this, too)
And this is unsized. 9pt is a bit of an odd number, but it seems to be the default.
Hrm... The 10pt and unsized look the same too. I'm not sure if default is 10pt or 9pt; in any case, 11pt looks more... Verdana-y... to me. XD
