That was nice of him! And mmm pizza hut! What did you get? I love their stuffed crust and I haven't had it in FOREVER!
haha! an umbrella? not even a bear from walgreens? xD It's funny because my sister wanted to get me an umbrella too but I said no because we live in WA state and she didn't understand. No native of WA state owns an umbrella really because it rains so often and gets windy, what's the point? it's like my dad, he wear shorts in the snow because he's from here. It's just a funny joke really, I know people who own an umbrella but almost none own one if they're FROM this state :P Seattlites don't use those contraptions. What's an umbrella?

We got the Tuscani Pasta, Chicken Alfredo, and a medium pizza, half chicken half pepperoni. o: The only bad thing about it was that they gave our breadsticks to the people sitting behind us. xD It was pretty funny, 'cause I could see their reaction from where I was sitting. They were confused but they took the breadsticks anyway. I made my boyfriend get up and tell the cashier that we didn't get our breadsticks.
I live in Northern California and it rains here often as well. I ADORE the rain. xD The umbrella is for looks, really. Nothing classier than holding a sleek black umbrella in the rain.
lol we've been given things before while at a restaurant that we were confused about getting so I know that facial expression well!
ugh. i hate getting bears. it screams 'I didn't know what else to get you!!!'
I live in Washington, too. But the reason I don't own an umbrella is because first, it never rains HARD, it just mists constantly. If you've ever been to the midwest, that's true rain. It starts pouring, just absolutely dumping buckets, and then stops after 15 minutes. Washington is just a constant sprinkle. And second, because where I live at least, we look down on people with umbrellas. If you have an umbrella, you're a tourist or a wimp.
I think going somewhere cheaper and not as formal is a really sweet idea. Valentine's Day is so much about commercialism these days. It should really be about the time spent, not the money spent. So what if it wasn't a super expensive dinner, as long as you had fun!

Haha how nice of your dad? Pizza hut is amazing though! I love their buffet, I always go up for more pizza xD Did you have a good time? :)
I totally agree with you. He asked me where I wanted to go. I enjoyed sitting there with him and that's all that matters. He was being a gentleman too, serving my plate, getting my drink. ❤️
I had a great time. haha
Awww, that's perfect! He's a keeper!
Yeah, my friend had her 3 year anniversary with her boyfriend two days before V-Day, and they just went to the little takeout teriyaki place near our houses. I thought that was the cutest thing ever. Who needs expensive food when you've got each other!

Mmm. My fiance and I almost went to Pizza Hut but we chose a local restaurant instead. Pizza Hut probably would have been cheaper. D': I haven't been there in years though.
yeah that's what I was saying, anybody here who uses an umbrella is not a native of WA. I know one or two that own one but they don't use it. my city it rains and sometimes mists but the either way the wind in my city will destroy an umbrella. Plus I moved to Florida a bit ago and now I'm visiting home....FLORIDA gets worse rain than here. WA it rains like heck but it's just constant, not hard rain. your dad is just silly :P you should tell him I said so too.

LOL. Well, my dad bought me an umbrella for my birthday! I was like, wait what? xD
an umbrella... thats not bad, maybe a bit unusual for valentines day. i also went to pizza hut :) we ate taco pizza.. yumm yumm
I got my sister a cute little pink and red sparkley box then filled it with those little bottled of glitter, and glow sticks :P What I would want for v-day is probably a TY toy really. but I'd want a skunk or something lol

I could understand that if it's something the person wanted, don't get me wrong! But how many stuffed skunks do you find with 'i love you' on them? I'm talking about those bears that say 'i love you'.. that's great for a first time valentines when the relationship is brand new or something like that, but an 'i love you' teddy get redundant year after year. I much rather him get something I could use then something that would just sit.. but then again, that's my opinion.
My husband and I did exchange teddy bears for our first valentines day which I totally loved, but after that I was like 'ok, you know me now, get me something I can USE because I get you things you can use!!'
I got a stuffed monster from my dad, and a tiny box of chocolate from my step mom. My real mom didn't even call me. And.. hasn't since she needed 90 dollars. XD
yeah, I didn't get to spend my first valentines day with my boyfriend this year but we'll probably do something else together when I see him. If he got/gets me a bear I won't mind since I happen to love bears but if he does that every year for the rest of our lives omg I would scream. If you've been with your husband for a few years he should know to get you something you like, such as a cd or a sketch book or something.

I'm sorry you weren't able to spend the day with him :( I hope you're able to do something nice with each other when you see him next!
And, I agree! He got me a Deep Covered Baker from the Pampered Chef for Valentines Day because I've been wanting it since November.
it's okay, I wanted to see my family and we forgot about val. day :P he's a sweet man and either way we'll do something together.
My dad got a typical bear present but the thing is he got her a monkey that said "I love you" because she LOVES monkeys xD plus he got her chocolate covered cream cherries and a card that said "Happy valentines day....open From your horny little devil" lol
