I dunno how anyone else feels about this, but there are times when the repetitiveness of doing any quest just becomes so tedious that sometimes I just lose all my motivation to continue with the whole thing.
I was thinking why not have it so that every 5, 10, or whatever interval its implemented on to have the character of that quest give the user a compliment to keep them motivated. Something like acknowledging their time and effort to gather all the items they ask for.
Just a random thought I felt like sharing to see if anyone else liked the idea or not.
Motivation from a fictional character sure isn't going to motivate me :P
I cannot remember the last time I was motivated to do quests of any kind. Personally I think a lot of the quests need a bit of an overhaul, but I don't think that changing the wording of what is said as you complete the quests would make much of a difference.

This is a really cute idea, but I don't think it'd do a lot for most people!
Really, most quests need an overhaul to make them profitable or worth the surprise of doing :)

It's a cute idea, but personally doesn't bother me. If I get bored with quests, I take a break to restock (or restock as I'm questing). If there's a quest I never cared to do (Carl) I'd do 5 at a time, then go do something like Maleria, then back to Carl, then a few library.. and before you know it, I have my widget completed for the day. :)
If that does it for you then I guess it's not a bad idea, but to be honest, I could quest for a year straight with this change implemented and actually never notice it. All I do is click to start, get the items, and move to the next. SOMETIMES I'll take a moment from a Wiz quest to go "Does this get fragged or sold?" but I still never look at the text, personally :/
Still, I think if they were individually written in the character, not just "Maleria smiles at you and says 'Good job on the questing, _____!'" it would be cute.

Wizard: You've got a great pair of boobs.
/completes second set of quests in half the time/
Although the idea is charming, I'm not sure it would truly be very motivating ahaha. xD Maybe that could be implemented as sort of an aesthetic thing, but not so much a motivational one.
I thought the incentive was the millions you make out of it.
If you just don't like questing, you're not forced to, though. I haven't quested in years
