So I am 21 today, I feel a sense of achievement or something, so yeah, woo.

I went around the city today and had a meal at frankie and benny's with my parents later.

Now I am waiting till the time I was born to open sparkling wine and eat my birthday cake. o:

Happy Birthday! Im also 21 but the drinking age here is 18 so it wasnt much of a difference! Although I spent my birthday on holiday in Florida so I had my first drink being 21 in America :D

It was good! A bit weird though just because they are kinda strict about alcohol in the states and I was getting really funny looks as I bought it in a theme park and I think they didnt think I looked old enough XD

I got ID'd over here in a supermarket for a PG film when I was 16... think the woman was crazy though... :s

Wow, If people ID me now, which they only really do in bars, I usually say that's a compliment since it seems ages since I was 18 and was really excited to be ID'd. I find most supermarket people really dont seem to even register what theyre scanning, once I was buying a lot of alcohol for a party and I wasnt exactly looking old may I add, in my kids pony t shirt and plain jeans, and she didnt even blink when the whole spirit rack went past her XD

wow! when I worked for ASDA they were really heavy on laws, if I did that I could be fired and like sued for A LOT of money so I always checked. s: I couldn't get alcohol on my birthday cause my friends were still 17 and I couldn't buy it with them being under age.... -.-

Maybe Morrisons is somewhat laxer XD I used to have that a lot, I was actually the youngest of all my friends so I used to have to wait in the car which I was driving XD Later actually we went to Lidl once to get some alcohol and snacks and they wouldnt take my friends ID even though we were all 19ish at the time because it wasnt a full drivers license, which was totally ridiculous, so I had to run out to the car and get my license, because for some reason you cant buy alcohol unless youve passed your driving test XD

Yeah it is exactly the same, we were just incredulous, its a good thing I actually drove otherwise we would have been turned away.
