im forever amazed at what medical science manages to do, of course this isnt as difficult as curing cancer, but its still pretty amazing. not to mention it saved his life basically.
i have to wonder what its like being 8ft+ tall though, being only 5'2" myself... lol.
(casually breaks the quote tags, oops)
custom made clothing , difficulty getting in & out of vehicles , elevators , etc . Have to stoop & bend to accomodate ones self . The list goes on & on .
itd still be interesting, i think! i pretty much have to get everything altered already, too, since im in between a lot of standard sizes, so i know what needing custom clothing is like, lol.
i imagine being that tall comes in handy for when you need to scout for lineups...
Wow, that sounds terrible. It looks like he needs those crutch things to walk as well :c Great he stopped growing tho, at least it's not quite as life threatening.
I knew someone who was 6'8" in high school and he was extremely self conscious about it. People literally just stand there and ogle at you as you walk by not to mention the countless taunts and unfunny comments from completely random people like "So you play basketball I'm guessing??". I can't imagine what it must be like to be 8+ feet tall.
being that tall means you get lethargic very very fast .
I wish it said the age of the man in the article. I mean...was he not supposed to be growing anymore or was he still at an age where growth in general was normal...?
The article says he's 29, I don't think that's natural to grow more but idk
