I just went to send a gift and noticed there's a gift sending fee...

What the hell? Why?

Whats stopping me from buying the item, getting some gift wrap and sending it through the gift center? Of course nothing since that will be debated but still.

I'd understand applying it if it were a scheduled gift but if not, why have the fee? Seems kind of stupid really...

It doesn't charge sP, it charges CSC. There's no call for a CSC sink; it's not like there's ever TOO MUCH CSC out there in the economy.

I also say it should be removed, or at least BECOME a sink for sP.

ah i misunderstood (it was very late XD ) i'm guessing it's just not possible for them to separate charging for scheduled gifts and nonscheduled gifts, so they charge for both.

If you don't want to pay the fee, just use a normal giftbox? I don't get the issue.. The special giftboxes cost more, so you're basically paying for the privilege of giving your friend a present in a "special" box.

You're paying for two things, the ability to send a gift at a specific time (which is useful when you aren't going to be online at that time or whatever) and the special giftbox.

You&;re also paying for the ability to warp through time and space and send presents ahead of time.

If you don't want to pay the fee, buy the regular gift wrap and send it.

i agree... it doesn't make sense that the wrapping costs much than an item.

maybe it can work like a scale... depending on how much time on advance you want to sent the item, the longer, the higher fee.

It makes sense to me. You're paying for the ability to have the gift send on a day when you don't have to be online. That's what the fee is for, not just for different wrapping paper.
